A miner, unexpectedly delivering paper letters; there's bound to be something unusual about it.
Thomas hesitated for a moment before continuing:
"That fellow companion told me to deliver the letter to the Bright Lamp Newspaper Office and give it to a person named Connor."
"When I arrived at the Bright Lamp Newspaper Office with the letter, I found that everyone there showed great respect for the person named Connor, calling him Mr. Connor; perhaps he could barely be considered a big figure."
Wu Chang turned to look at Raventon, as someone who always lived in the New World, he unapologetically didn't know the Connor Thomas spoke of.
Raventon showed a look of surprise and said:
"If I'm not mistaken, the Connor who received Thomas's letter should be the founder of the Bright Lamp Report, and also one of the initiators of the Charter Movement."
"Although he's not a noble, he was elected to the Lower House as a member; indeed, he is a big figure."
