Chapter 485 - Chapter 485: I Can’t Be Bothered to Reason with You

"Mizukage, are you serious?"

The Third Raikage looked excitedly at the Fourth Mizukage, waiting for his answer.

If no one had brought it up all this time, he would have already wanted to leave here long ago.

The Fourth Tsuchikage also looked curiously at the Fourth Mizukage.

At the beginning, the three of them had indeed believed the Hokage's explanation that capturing the Tailed Beasts was a plan made by Uchiha Madara.

But when they saw the mysterious person, they started to have doubts.

Uchiha Renya!

The one capturing the Tailed Beasts was Uchiha Renya, not the legendary Uchiha Madara!

In addition, Renya had repeatedly infiltrated the camp trying to capture the Tailed Beasts, and every time this happened, the Hokage pretended not to see it and had never led the Konoha ninja to provide support.

Anyone with eyes could clearly see Konoha's ambition.

They wanted to collect all the Tailed Beasts in the ninja world in order to consolidate Konoha's overlord status in the ninja world.

Forced by the powerful military strength of Konoha, the few of them could only be forced to play this game of "thief crying 'catch the thief'" with the Hokage.

They had originally thought that the alliance of Kirigakure, Iwagakure, and Kumogakure, the three villages together, would be able to resist Konoha's greedy ambition.

Unfortunately, they had underestimated Konoha's overbearing nature.

When the capture of the Six-Tails jinchūriki failed, the Hokage used Uchiha Madara's "Eye of the Moon" as an excuse to make the Mizukage sacrifice the Six-Tails jinchūriki.

This sort of trick that obviously only fools children—how could the Fourth Mizukage possibly believe it?

So he no longer gave the Hokage any face and directly opened his mouth to reject Shimura Danzo's proposal.

And now, the Mizukage no longer wanted to fool around with Shimura Danzo.

Uchiha Madara's "Eye of the Moon" plan was purely nonsense; that guy had been killed by Senju Hashirama decades ago.

Did they really think they knew nothing?

"That's right, the game of the thief crying 'catch the thief' is completely over. You can lead your armies back."

"If we leave, your village's Six-Tails jinchūriki…" The Fourth Tsuchikage stopped mid-sentence.

What he wanted to say was that without the protection of the ninja alliance, Kirigakure simply wouldn't be able to protect the jinchūriki, and at that time Konoha would still succeed…

The Fourth Mizukage fell silent when he heard this.

Konoha was far too overbearing now. Could it be that they could only watch helplessly as they obtained the Tailed Beasts?

He clenched his fists unwillingly. In this ninja world where the weak are prey to the strong, weakness was the original sin.

"How about I help you slaughter the Six-Tails jinchūriki?" The Third Raikage voiced his own view.

"Rather than letting Konoha collect all the Tailed Beasts, it'd be better to kill the Six-Tails and make them lose one Tailed Beast."

A powerful Konoha possessing nine Tailed Beasts and possessing eight Tailed Beasts actually wasn't that different.

But killing one was still better than giving them all to Konoha.

The Fourth Mizukage looked deeply at him. Then how would that be any different from the plan the Hokage had proposed?

The Second Kazekage, Shamon, just quietly watched the three youngsters discussing and shook his head helplessly.

Young people nowadays had no depth and were still indulging in unrealistic fantasies.

Offending Konoha over a single Tailed Beast.

If it were him, he would have long since agreed to Shimura Danzo's opinion.

The actions of the Fourth Mizukage, apart from arousing the Hokage's dissatisfaction, would achieve nothing.

He wanted to see just what these few could manage to come up with…

...

Inside the Hokage's command tent.

"Danzo, those guys didn't agree?"

Renya noticed the ashen look on Shimura Danzo's face and immediately knew he had suffered a setback with the other Kage.

"That idiot Mizukage is unwilling to sacrifice the Six-Tails jinchūriki and says we should sacrifice the Nine-Tails jinchūriki instead." Shimura Danzo said unhappily.

"I think they simply don't believe in the 'Eye of the Moon' plan at all!"

Especially the Second Kazekage, Shamon, who hadn't realized the seriousness of the situation.

Even now, he still thought it was Konoha directing and acting in this Tailed Beast–capturing farce.

It really made him angry to the point of laughing.

If they didn't kill the Six-Tails jinchūriki and really let Uchiha Madara succeed, things would be troublesome!

"Danzo, we have to move faster. Uchiha Madara may already know, and perhaps is rushing this way."

Renya said with a serious expression.

There were definitely many White Zetsu secretly monitoring his every move from the shadows.

Including his earlier conversation with Danzo.

Now Uchiha Madara should already know that he wanted to kill the Six-Tails jinchūriki to stop the 'Eye of the Moon' plan.

If they delayed any longer, once Lord Madara came to stop them, it would be over!

Shimura Danzo's pupils suddenly shrank when he heard this, realizing the seriousness of the matter.

He had no doubts whatsoever about Renya's words.

Since Renya said that Uchiha Madara might already know of their scheme, then Uchiha Madara really did know.

That was the trust between the two of them.

"I'll notify Hiruzen and the others right now. We'll force our way in and directly kill the Six-Tails jinchūriki!"

Shimura Danzo didn't hesitate at all, decisively choosing to use forceful suppression.

They absolutely had to get the Six-Tails jinchūriki killed before Uchiha Madara arrived!

"Good, I'll go with you."

Renya followed Shimura Danzo out of the command tent, calling over Hiruzen Sarutobi and the others along with the Konoha ninja to head toward the camp of the Six-Tails jinchūriki.

The commotion caused by the Konoha ninja alerted the several Kage who were discussing countermeasures.

"Hokage, what do you intend to do?!"

The Mizukage, Tsuchikage, and Raikage blocked the only path, looking at Shimura Danzo and the others with unfriendly expressions.

Konoha was simply lawless.

When schemes failed, they simply took by force.

They really treated the four great ninja villages as soft persimmons to be squeezed!

In reality, only three people were blocking Danzo and the others. The Second Kazekage, Shamon, had long taken the Sunagakure ninja and gone far away.

That old fox wouldn't get involved in this kind of matter. If they truly angered the Hokage, no one would come out of it well.

Besides, the Six-Tails wasn't Sunagakure's Tailed Beast. What did its life or death have to do with them?

These youngsters would have to pay the price for their actions sooner or later!

Had they not seen Uchiha Renya standing behind the Hokage?

And they still dared to speak in this tone—clearly they were tired of living.

"Get out of the way, don't waste my time!" Shimura Danzo said coldly. "Uchiha Madara is rushing this way right now. We need to hurry up and get rid of the Six-Tails jinchūriki!"

The three of them looked at each other when they heard this, and couldn't help but burst into laughter.

Obviously, they didn't believe these words at all.

"Hokage, do you really take us for fools?" The Fourth Mizukage sneered. "If Konoha wants to collect all the Tailed Beasts, just say it directly, yet you're actually using Uchiha Madara as an excuse…"

Who in the ninja world didn't know that Uchiha Madara had long since died in the Valley of the End?

The one who killed him was the God of Shinobi, Senju Hashirama!

"You keep saying it's Uchiha Madara's conspiracy, but we have never once seen the legendary Uchiha Madara."

The Fourth Tsuchikage spoke up in agreement.

"Can you call him out and let us have a look?"

"Exactly. Unless you let us see Uchiha Madara, we won't believe your explanation. Otherwise, if you want to kill the jinchūriki—no way!"

The Third Raikage said, refusing to be outdone.

"I can't be bothered to reason with you. If you don't want to die, get out of the way now!"

Renya looked at the three blocking the road with a dark expression, not bothering to hide the killing intent in his heart.

If he kept wasting time with this group of idiots, Lord Madara really would rush over.
