Watching the girls enjoying the heated water on the pool, from their view point. As Akaza notice Gasper, being comforted by Kyoko, Pyrrah, and Nora. He asked, "Who's the girl, I haven't seen her before?" Ranma and the rest of the guys, look at who Akaza was asking about, and saw Gasper...in a girly swimsuit. Issei wanting to mess with Akaza, "Why you want to know? Interested?" Akaza gave a unamused looked, stating he was only curious, as his heart only belongs to his fiancée Koyuki. Seeing Akaza's conviction, Issei, he knew that he couldn't mess with such a straightforward guy. And honestly, that disappointed him. As he grabbed a soda from the table next to his sunchair. Ren, he spoke, explaining about Gasper's...unique traits. Akaza didn't looked disgusted or weirded out, just disappointed. As he state, "So a coward and weakling. Why keep him around?" Gyutaro laughed, as he stated that this is typical Akaza. Which Laharl agreed, having seen and read both the anime and manga of Demon Slayer. Regardless, they mood didn't sour. Kiba, being apart of the Gremory Peerage. He knew of Gasper's backstory, and personally interacted with the introverted dmphir. So he told Akaza about Gasper's rough life amongst the vampire. His introverted nature and social anxiety. Along with Gasper's issue of control his powerful Sacred Gear... Akaza was interested on Sacred Gears, as Issei raised his right arm and manifested his own Sacred Gear the Booster Gear. Bragging a bit about his own Sacred Gear, and partner the Welsh Red Dragon Emperor, Ddraig. As the guys then they explained that in their world, the great "Kami" of their own faction, and creator of Angels. He felt that humanity needed their own unique, and special weapons to fight the supernatural, using his emance power he created the Sacred Gears, and the Sacred Gear System, which only humans and half-humans can manifest. This impressed, and excited Akaza, as this meant in the DXDverse's humans, they are going to be a better challenge then the human in his homeworld. This changed the atmosphere these devils had...but it didn't sour their mood. As the guys, enjoying some cold refreshments and talking to each other. After a couple of hours. Akaza asked for more clarity of this Dungeon Nexus and dungeon. Seems that the fighting-devil is getting antsy. Laharl took a swing of ice cold Pepsi, and started explaining the dungeon system with more details to Akaza. In the end, just as Ranma, Gyutaro, and Laharl predicted. This news set Akaza's fighting spirit a blaze. As he was eager to enter a dungeon, and smash through enemies that might be worth his fists. Seems like they'll have to plan a new dungeon crawl soon.
START OF THE DUNGEON CRAWL Location Krichevskoy Mansion: The Basement, Dimensional Gate; Dungeon Nexus
A couple days later. Kiba, Ranma, Ren, Gyutaro, Issei, Laharl, and Akaza were at the Dungeon Nexus, within the mansion's basement, and below the Dimensional Gate. After talking to the girls, from Laharl's, Sona's, and Ranma's respective peerage. They expressed that they didn't feel like dungeon crawling this time. Right now with the matter of time that they've been in the Demon Slayer-verse. A link to the nearby dungeons, have been starting to form. Wanting something easy so Akaza can let loose, get stronger, and satisfy his battle urge. Laharl was operating the console that operates the dungeon gate, checking the options of the dungeons around this verse...but all are hard ranking, this make things exciting. Laharl told this to the guys. This excited them, especially Akaza loving the challenge. So Laharl choosed the third dungeon available, as the pool gate, glow cyan and light blue, showing its activation. Issei manifested his Booster Gear. Ranma stretched with Akaza following suit. Ren drew his StormFlower a pair of sickle-smgs. Kiba created a basic demonic longsword with his Sword Birth, Sacred Gear. Gyutaro manifested his flesh kama, and lastly Laharl stretched out his right gloved hand. In a burst of purple flames, and golden chi made his buster sword, Vritra Zanbato Fury. Resting his partner and blade over his shoulder. The guys stand around of the edge of the pool gate, and they jumped, entering this new dungeon.
Location the Demon Dungeon Area 1 The seven guys, appeared in another location. Looking around they were in a highly damaged cathedral, with a massive hole in front of them. Leaving to a underground area. Laharl felt this place looked familiar, but decided to wait before talking. Wanting to make sure, they are in a dungeon based after that game. Laharl stepped forward, with the rest of the guys following behind, as they descended through the hole. After a few minutes, they arrive in a massive dark crypt, almost like a castle that has been buried. Again Laharl's suspicion was growing, as this place looked so familiar, but again he hold his tongue, until they face the enemies of the dungeon level. That way he can be certain, on which world this dungeon level is based after. They walk through a bridge, leading to a supply area, inside a lot dust, rubble, tattered rags, and withered wooded tables, crates, and barrel. Making obvious that they were in a fantasy based dungeon. Then zombies are dragging into the room. Moaning loudly. As a swarm of lanky zombie covered in rags, and more muscular, and bloated zombies, wearing torn, long brown pants. Laharl recognizes these zombies, as Risen Deads and Hungry Corpses. From Diablo 3. This means that their in the Cathedral, the crypt of the Mad King, the Skeleton King, Leoric. Meaning that the Boss of this level is obviously him, and they have a long way to go to reach Leoric. But first these zombies have to die. Laharl, Gyutaro, and Kiba rushed in together, slashing apart some risen, leaving purple flames, gore, and parts of the zombies. Ranma, Issei, and Akaza crushed their targeted hungry xorpses. As Ren stayed back. Spraying green energy bullets, at the zombies, providing ranged back up. After a couple minutes, all the risen dead and hungry corpses, as the dead zombies released a bunch of red, and white floating orbs of exp-drops. The guys absorbed the exp-drops, with Akaza's strength and life have leveled up. Akaza smiled. Clenching and opening his fists, over and over. Feeling his strength has greatly increased. With that Laharl explained that their in a Diablo 3 dungeon, specify the first actual dungeon in that game. Also telling them that have mostly undead type enemies, and also the most likely boss they'll be facing is Leoric the Skeleton King. Even saying the shorten version of Leoric's backstory. Now we can continue, since the crypt kingdom of the Skeleton King. We started to going further in. Encountering more Risen Dead, and Hungry Corpses. As Akaza is the most benefitting about these exp-drops, leveling up his strength and life further. Then as they went down to the next level. As they encountered more risen, and hungry corpse, they also meet a new enemy. A Grotesque. A massive bloated zombie, with staples on the body, and a huge puss filled wound, in the bloated belly. Utterly disgusting. Something only Nurgle would love, as the group engaged the risen and hungry corpses. Laharl, he immediately told Issei to burn that bloated zombie. Understanding the Red Dragon Emperor, channeled his fire magic, creating a fireball in his hands, as he used his Firebolt technique. He began to shot a bunch of fire balls, at the grotesque. Causing considerable damage, until it exploded in gore and puss, aside a good amount of red and yellow exp-drops. From the remains of the grotesque came large, eel-like worms with dark tips in their head. These being Corpse Worms, that spawn from a dead grotesque. Issei shivered with disgust, as he and the others understood now the reason, why Laharl wanted Issei to handle the new enemy. As they made quick work of the other zombies, the corpse worms, three in total, they slithered quickly over to the devils. Ren spotted the eel-like worms, and started shooting at them.
In the end. Ren took them down, before they reached him and the others. As the corpse worms, gave blue exp-drops. They absorbed all red, white, yellow, and blue exp-drops. This immediately caused Akaza's strength, life, magic, and speed to level-up. Akaza's magic, being the lowest of the recently, leveled up stats of him. All because the grotesque gave more red exp-drops over yellow. Hence his current stats. Regardless this group of enemies have been taken cared of, so they can continue on, without obstacles for now. As the guys proceed, Issei asked why Laharl isn't collecting any loot. Laharl answered his friend, "Because of the low value. And the potential risk, Diablo demonic magic and energy is almost as bad as Chaos from Warhammer world." Issei, Kiba, Ren, Akaza, Ranma, and Gyutaro looked confused. Not knowing what Warhammer is. Laharl sighed. As he answered his friends and fellow devils, "Trust me. With soo much lore, currently and yet to come. It is too complicated and lengthy for me to explain now." especially since from his passed life, as human the Warhammer lore in 40k and Age of Sigmar was more extensive compare to now. Then Laharl wondered, if he should get some stocks in GW. Securing early releases, before Warhammer becomes more mainline. Plus in his previous life, he was too busy, and dumping money in rent, utilities, and other hobbies to build a proper army, and collects minis, and books. Especially Ork books, as next to Chaos, orkz are his second favorite faction. But those thoughts and plans can wait until, he and the rest of the devils, are back from their multiversal journey. Right now in the second level of this cathedral crypt, more risen, hungry corpses, and grotesques are waiting for them in a long, gothic looking hallway. With several room opened, letting these zombies to come out, and swarm at these seven devils. Kiba used his varient to the Blade Rush techniques, to rush and cut through several zombies. With Issei and Ren taking the role of ranged support. Firing fireballs and enegy bullets, at the grotesques, causing the bloated zombies to blow up, in...grotesque manner...and spawn three corpse worms per dead grotesque. As they aim at the eel-like worms, along with the grotesque, not letting the corpse worms, near to their buddies. Laharl, Akaza, Gyutaro, and Ranma joined Kiba in fighting the risen dead and hungry corpses, directly. Laharl swinging his Vritra Zanbato Fury, draining away strength, and burning away the husks of these undead. Ranma delivering fast attacks, and occasional ki-blast at the zombies, while Akaza used his Soryu, along with super physical capabilities to crush these walking corpses. All with excited smile on the fighting-devil's face. While Gyutaro used his razor sharp kama to slice apart the undead, while also firing off Blood Sickles. Manipulating those blood made slashes, sending them soaring and slicing other zombies, and corpse worms. Acting as back up to Ren and Issei, while also fighting alongside Kiba, Laharl, Ranma, and Akaza in the frontline. Together, even with more risen dead, hungry corpses, grotesques, and corpse worms, swarminh them. They took them all on, and eliminated them.
In a couple minutes. The seven devils, were surrounded re-dead zombies. Along with a abundance of red, white, yellow, and blue exp-drops. All the exp-drops floating around them. As they absorbed them all, now Kiba, Laharl, Gyutaro, Ranma, Ren, and Issei felt a midget amount of increase on their stats. While Akaza leveled up, his strength, life, magic, and speed stats again. He felt incredible. No centuries of training, or feasting a humans...solely men, has Akaza felt this progress on his abilities. Akaza turned to his king and...friend...saying to him, "Ranma!! Once we're done with this dungeon, let's fight again. I want to test my strength, without a strong opponent!!" This made everyone smile, and some chuckle, as Ranma respond. Saying, "Anytime, Akaza. Cause Ranma Saotome, never backs down from a challenge!!" This made Akaza happy. As they went further into the crypt, encountering more risen, hungry corpses, grotesques, and corpse worms that stood in their way, as they traverse second, descending floor on this dungeon level. They gladly took on these monsters, as their dungeon crawl in still just beginning.
