If Jade can't get out of this conference room in the next five minutes, he's going to blow up the building.
Letting out a measured exhale, he fixes the president with a hard stare from across the table. Between them, countless documents and tablets litter the glass surface, displaying readings and reports about the attack in Solis, each as unhelpful as the last. Corinthia is tapping one finger on the table, belying her affected detached calm. The other people in the room are doing worse jobs of hiding their stress, and combined with everything else, the tension in the air is giving Jade a headache.
"The Fray opened," Jade recites for the third time since being summoned to this emergency meeting. "We were fighting like normal. Suddenly, I felt something weird. Like electricity in the air. Then the others sensed it too. We followed the energy and found what appeared to be a humanoid entity."
