It hit him all at once.
Evangel groaned as his body staggered forward, his entire frame trembling from the pain while his legs grew increasingly weak beneath him, struggling to support his weight. Blood began pooling inside his mouth, and when he coughed, more of it spilled between his lips, staining his chin as his vision gradually blurred.
For a moment, everything around him seemed to lose focus.
Then, strangely, everything became clear again.
Evangel's expression slowly changed as he looked around.
He was still standing in the exact same position he had been in at the beginning of the fight.
The battlefield around him hadn't changed either.
The dead orcs were still scattered across the area exactly where they had been before, lying in the same positions as if nothing had happened at all.
