The voices continued. They were louder and more chaotic. More terrifying. Grey felt as though he was about to die.
It was as if his entire head was going to explode from hearing something that he was never supposed to hear. His body began to undergo a horrifying transformation.
Blood tendrils suddenly shot out from his flesh. His skin began to separate from his body. Pieces of flesh tore themselves apart.
It was as if Grey's own body had developed a will of its own and was attempting to move toward the source of the ravings.
It wanted to approach that great being. It wanted to merge with it. Grey's consciousness screamed in resistance.
But his body continued to deteriorate.
And while all of this was happening, not even a single breath of time had passed in reality.
