Chapter 430 - Kingu’s Return and the Acquisition of Samael!

Chapter 8: Kingu's Return and the Acquisition of Samael!

That evening, the Gremory mansion was bathed in a brilliant, warm glow.

Tiamat's arrival was an earth-shattering event for the entire Gremory family. After all, she was the mother of Akira—a man who currently held the status of a "Maou-class" powerhouse with limitless potential. Naturally, she became the center of everyone's attention.

Venelana, in particular, was overjoyed that her son's mother-in-law had finally visited. The Lady of the Gremory house effortlessly struck up a friendship with Tiamat; in fact, they had already reached the point of calling each other "sisters."

This left Akira completely speechless. Tiamat was a Genesis Deity whose age was beyond calculation. Calling her a "sister"? Even calling her "ancestor" would still feel like an understatement.

Inside Akira's private quarters, he had just finished bathing and was preparing to turn in for the night.

On the bed beside him, Akeno was already fast asleep, breathing peacefully. As the only woman who had shared a physical bond with Akira thus far, she had become even more clingy following Tiamat's arrival.

During the day, she vied for Akira's attention alongside Rias and the others, but at night, she had him all to herself. This was largely because Rias hadn't quite managed to cast aside her shyness yet, whereas Akeno had already surrendered everything to this man. In this specific arena, Akeno held total dominance.

Because of this, there was a noticeable difference in how Tiamat treated them. One was a daughter-in-law bound by the flesh, and the other was... not quite there yet.

Swoosh—

In that moment, a dark blur flickered across the room, and a beautiful silhouette manifested from the shadows.

"Onii-chan..."

The visitor froze mid-sentence. Having just stepped out of the bath, Akira was clad in nothing but a towel. The sight caused her to stop dead in her tracks, her eyes widening.

"Hmm? Kingu, what's wrong..."

"I... I didn't see anything...!"

Blurting that out, she pivoted on her heel, dissolved back into a black shadow, and vanished. Akira stood there, equally stunned. He felt as though he had been completely exposed. Wait, isn't this the kind of scenario that usually happens to women? Why did it happen to me?

However, Akira didn't dwell on it for long. As a man, he'd be lying if he said he felt no attraction toward her. The current Kingu was essentially a female version of Enkidu, and her charm was undeniably potent.

After changing into his sleepwear, Akira stepped out of the room.

Outside, Kingu was standing there, her face flushed a deep crimson. Her eyes darted nervously around the Gremory estate. It was clear that the recent "encounter" had left a significant impact on her.

"Kingu..."

Akira's voice reached her, causing her to jump slightly.

"Onii-chan..."

Seeing him, Kingu desperately tried to suppress the "discomfort" in her heart to regain her composure. Having never experienced romantic or physical intimacy, she had no idea what she was feeling. Since the moment of her birth, her every action had been for the sake of her Mother.

While she knew Akira was close with Quetzalcoatl, she didn't know the intricate details. Meanwhile, Quetzalcoatl was currently slumbering within the Embryo world. As a Servant summoned to this world, she had lost her connection to the original signal after leaving the Fate universe.

After all, a Servant is merely a copy of a Heroic Spirit residing in the Throne of Heroes; the true body remains there. Quetzalcoatl was no exception. The reason Akira had requested data regarding the "Holy Grail" and "Command Spells" from Romani was precisely for her sake.

Currently, Quetzalcoatl slept in the prototype world, waiting to awaken and adapt to the new laws of this reality. It was a process where a "copy" severed its ties to the original body to begin a new life that truly belonged to her.

"Coming here this late... is something the matter?"

"Onii-chan, I've captured that 'monster.' I have already cast it into Mother's Chaos Tide. The modification process should be complete in a few days."

"I see. That's excellent news. By the way, can Samael's 'Dragon Slayer Curse' be analyzed?"

"It can. By being reborn within the Chaos Tide, Samael will become Mother's child. Under Mother's Authority, he can be 'mass-produced' in infinite numbers."

Much like the blackened version of Ushiwakamaru from the original history, anyone contaminated by the Chaos Tide could regenerate indefinitely as long as a single cell remained—they could even undergo continuous self-replication.

Samael was now the same. This meant that as long as Akira willed it, he could possess an army of Samaels. If word of this ever got out, it would strike terror into the hearts of many.

One must remember that a single Samael was enough to make god-factions across the globe wary. He had eventually been sealed in the depths of the Underworld, guarded by the Greek God of the Dead, Hades.

Now, Akira held an army of them. If this were revealed, he would undoubtedly become the absolute enemy of every dragon race in the world. To dragons, Samael was the ultimate natural predator.

Whether it was a Dragon King, a Heavenly Dragon, or even a Dragon God, they would be absolutely suppressed without any way to fight back. Therefore, no dragon would ever want to see such a natural enemy exist, let alone an entire legion of them. It was equivalent to the total extinction of their race.

"Very good. With Samael in hand, Rizevim's plans won't be able to proceed. At that point, that old fox won't be able to resist showing his hand."

"Onii-chan, is there anything else you need me to do?"

"No need. By the way, were you the one who helped Mother lower her rank to a Servant so she could stay by my side?"

"Yes. Mother felt so lonely being in her world all by herself, and since you brought me out, Onii-chan... I was afraid she would be too isolated, so I told her about this method."

"Don't feel guilty; you did the right thing. For Mother, leaving her alone in a dark place without light was a failure on our part, especially since she did this just to help me."

"I'm glad to hear that..."

Kingu felt a wave of relief wash over her. She had been worried that Akira might be displeased, but her fears were misplaced.

"Mother is currently deep within the Gremory estate. However, she doesn't understand the ways of the world. I'm afraid she might be taken advantage of or betrayed. So, from now on, you will stay by her side."

"I understand."

At Akira's command, Kingu nodded firmly. As someone with plenty of experience in schemes, she was usually the one doing the outsmarting. If anyone dared to try and trick her Mother, they would be seeking their own death.

Akira nodded in return. The situation regarding his mother was settled for the time being. The reason he took these precautions was to avoid unnecessary trouble. Akira knew that the high-ranking officials in the Underworld were a bunch of old men who held massive authority despite their mediocre strength. Who knew what kind of trouble they might stir up.
