Nine at night.
The sky had long gone dark.
The Virellano mansion… was empty and quiet.
Al woke up in his room, exhaustion still clinging to his body.
He still wanted to sleep, but after checking the time, he decided to head downstairs first and kidnap some food before going back to bed.
The moment he stepped out, something felt off.
Usually, at this hour, there would still be gossiping voices from his sisters or the sound of the TV echoing through the mansion.
But tonight?
Nothing.
Just silence.
And as expected, one of the passing maids informed him,
"Everyone went out for dinner, Young Master. They're celebrating the end of the national exams for Young Master David… and also for you."
Al frowned slightly, not expecting his name to actually be included this time.
Meanwhile, the maid continued,
"Madam Sandra asked several servants to wake you up earlier, but there was no response from inside. Your room was locked as well."
That explanation made Al chuckle softly.
