The sound of my spoon hitting the plate resonated through the quiet dining hall but I was too lost in my thoughts to notice the eyes on me.
Until Kaelith's large hand landed on my lap. I turned to look at him but his eyes were already in mine. "Eat". With a small mummur, he picked beef from his plate and dropped it in mine.
" Are you not feeling well, Elyssa?".
I managed to form a small smile at the older woman whose voice dipped with concern " Yes. I just couldn't sleep well". It wasn't totally a lie because after everything last night, I couldn't find myself sleeping.
And neither did Kaelith.
" You must be finding it hard to adapt to the environment". She chuckled lightly "I think I know a perfect way to uplift your mood. Would you join me for a little tour around?". " If of course Kaelith doesn't mind". She added.
Maybe it was pettiness but immediately she added those words, I quickly answered her before Kaelith does " I'm sure he wouldn't mind. And I'll love to".
