They were both silent for a while after Kaidon's revelation.
"You're surely lying," Trent said, not believing his words.
"Suit yourself," Kaidon spoke and was about to go inside, but Trent stopped him.
"I'm serious. Who is she?" Trent asked in a serious tone.
"She's my mate from another pack," Kaidon replied calmly, and Trent just stared at him.
"What? Why haven't you announced that you've found your mate? Isn't that the first thing you're meant to do?" Trent asked. He knew Kaidon finding his mate was something of importance, and the whole pack would be happy to hear that.
It was far better to be with your destined mate than to marry anyone else.
"That is my choice. Besides, the announcement will be made in three days," he spoke, and Trent gasped in surprise.
At this point, he knew that Kaidon was telling the truth because why lie about an announcement?
"So you're really telling the truth?" Trent asked, and Kaidon just stared at him, his lips drawn into a thin line.
