On the ground, only a dozen Worm of Star corpses remained, along with a crystal ball seemingly formed by countless worms, a black pouch, and a three-layered jewelry box with a silver-black surface inlaid with various gems.
Anderson's gaze naturally fell on the more ornate three-layered jewelry box. He let out an "Oh?" and casually remarked, "Anything a demigod carries with them must be a good Mystical Item, or perhaps, this is the important Sealed Artifact of the Abraham Family that Miss Magician mentioned?"
Azik lowered his head and examined the jewelry box for a while, then frowned slightly and said, "It's very dangerous, harboring a danger that could be fatal even to me."
"That terrifying?" Anderson looked at Azik in astonishment. If he hadn't been concerned about his image in the Tarot Club, he would have already retreated several meters.
For a true Angel to give such an evaluation, this item was absolutely not simple. Even among the Grade 0 Sealed Artifacts controlled by the major Churches, it was definitely one of the most dangerous.
Collecting his thoughts, Anderson looked at Azik and asked, "Should we sacrifice these items to Mr. Fool now?"
"We can." Azik nodded lightly. Transparent spirit bodies of various forms emerged from his shadow, holding different materials, and quickly set up an altar.
Above the Gray Fog, within the magnificent, ancient palace that resembled a giant's dwelling, the grayish-white fog seemed to be stimulated, surging uncontrollably and engulfing the entire hall.
After some time, under Klein's guidance, the grayish-white fog transformed into layers of seals, sealing the three-layered jewelry box inlaid with various gems. Only then did the turbulent Gray Fog gradually subside.
"This 'Box of the Great Old Ones' is even more dangerous than I imagined. Mr. Azik must have seen it, so why did he still send this jewelry box to the Gray Fog? Does he think this place can suppress the danger within it?"
Klein muttered to himself for a moment, then began to perform a divination on the "Box of the Great Old Ones" that had already been sealed. Of course, this did not involve the most dangerous third layer, which could potentially cause Sefirah Castle to change owners on the spot, or lose its owner entirely.
After completing the divination and obtaining most of the information about this Grade 0 Sealed Artifact, Leyton materialized the dummy The World and then extended his spirituality to touch the crimson stars representing Leyton, Azik, and Anderson, pulling them above the Gray Fog.
As the crimson light rose, three blurry figures quickly appeared on the right side of the mottled long table.
Klein manipulated The World, his gaze sweeping over the few individuals before settling on the spoils piled on the table. He said calmly, "These are all of Botis's items. You may choose for yourselves."
Leyton and Azik remained silent, their gazes sweeping over Anderson. The latter understood and nodded, then straightened his body slightly and pointed at the crystal ball formed by countless worms, saying, "I'll take this one. It's a Beyonder Characteristic of a Secrets Sorcerer. Once crafted into a Mystical Item, it can greatly compensate for my lack of mobility and deficiencies in magical abilities."
"Alright." Klein nodded lightly, then chose some gems and spiritual materials of various colors for himself.
Leyton and Azik also chose gems and spiritual materials. They had little interest in the spatial pouch crafted by the Secrets Sorcerer.
Klein couldn't use it because he was currently in the Forsaken Land of the Gods, and his connection to the Spirit World was severed. Leyton and Azik each had their own methods to achieve the same thing, and while it might be more complex, it had no impact on them.
"The rest will be sold at a later Tarot Club meeting, and then we'll split the Pounds equally."
Klein briefly mentioned this, concluding the division of spoils. After sending Anderson back to reality, he waved his hand, making the items on the table disappear, leaving only the three-layered jewelry box inlaid with many gems.
He then looked at Leyton and introduced the effects, negative impacts, and sealing methods of this Grade 0 Sealed Artifact, then asked, "Do you think I can use this item to take the City of Silver out of the Forsaken Land of the Gods?"
Leyton gently shook his head and said, "The Forsaken Land of the Gods has a seal. You can respond to prayers and accept the Sun's sacrifices because Sefirah Castle allowed you to exploit a loophole, but it will be very difficult to project Angel-level items. At least, you cannot do it with your current Sequence."
"Alright." Klein nodded, not too surprised, abandoning his previous idea of experimenting. He then said, "With the help of your Historical Projection, I've already reached the easternmost part of the Forsaken Land of the Gods. When I summon your Historical Projection later, you can project your consciousness over. I need some help, and someone to chat with."
After a slight pause, Leyton nodded gently and said, "Alright."
With the Steam and Eternal Blazing Sun watching, it was difficult for Leyton to personally go to Backlund and retrieve the Beyonder Characteristic that the Genie had retained through William Augustus I. He could only wait for Roselle to gather it himself.
Fortunately, the Black Emperor's resurrection was an unchangeable and unstoppable order. Even the higher-level Genie could only temporarily delay this process.
Recalling his wandering thoughts, Leyton suddenly thought of something and turned to Klein, saying, "On the edge of that Gray Fog, there's also a city where some survivors from before the Great Cataclysm live."
Klein's expression was slightly complex. After a brief silence, he had The World Gehrman Sparrow speak, saying, "I have already made contact with them and am currently spreading the light of my Lord among them."
At the easternmost edge of the Forsaken Land of the Gods, at the boundary of the magnificent barrier composed of countless grayish-white mists, Klein stood calmly, holding a dim yellow lantern.
Looking at the boundless grayish-white mist before him, connecting the earth and sky, and extending infinitely in both directions, he didn't need divination. His intuition clearly told him that this was the mist that everyone stepped on during every Tarot Club meeting.
After a long silence, he raised his hand and summoned Leyton's Historical Projection from the historical void. After a brief moment of confusion, Leyton's Historical Projection became vibrant and lively.
Looking at the familiar gray mist before him, Leyton calmly shook his head and said, "The other side of this mist is the legendary Western Continent, the homeland of the elves, and also where the Celestial Worthy sealed many Sefirah."
"I've been here before and tried to attack this seal, but I failed."
"If you walk along this Gray Fog, you'll find the traces I left within two days."
Klein nodded lightly and said calmly, "I've already seen them."
After a two-second pause, he continued, "Before, I tried using the Beyonder abilities I controlled, the historical projections of Mr. Azik and the others, and even the Historical Projection of that 'Box of the Great Old Ones,' but none of them could truly open this Gray Fog."
"However, I also made some discoveries: the High-Sequence abilities of the Seer, Apprentice, and Marauder Pathways can elicit the greatest reaction from this Gray Fog, but that's all."
Leyton nodded gently and stepped forward, simultaneously forming complex and illusory symbols in his eyes, creating a vast, illusory flood of information that converged into "light" that was neither brilliant, clear, nor colorful.
This light had no physical form and was difficult to observe with the naked eye. Ordinary Beyonders could only perceive its existence through their spiritual intuition.
Under Leyton's control, layers of "light" transformed into a tide, continuously striking the Gray Fog ahead, submerging into it without causing a single ripple.
Leyton was neither surprised nor discouraged by this. With an unchanged expression, he extended his right hand forward, and a slowly rotating ball of stardust rapidly formed in his palm.
One star after another appeared around him, densely packed and dazzling, casting down rays of brilliant light.
The surrounding light grew brighter and brighter, creating a blinding daylight in the deep darkness.
Feeling the dazzling light and restless spirituality around him, Klein couldn't help but warn, "Control the commotion. I don't want to turn around and run into Amon again."
"Then it's a good idea to throw his Avatar in and see what happens."
Although he said that, Leyton still restrained the anomalies caused by the release of his power, trying his best to gather the clear and brilliant starlight, forming a starlight vortex that grew larger and faster, as if it could cover a large city like Backlund.
The swirling vortex of shimmering starlight seemed slow, but in reality, it approached the Gray Fog ahead extremely quickly.
Under the clear and pure starlight, the Gray Fog was rapidly decomposed, purified, and forcibly carved into a deep, dark passage.
The Gray Fog ahead seemed endless. The distance between the starlight vortex and the people standing outside the fog visibly increased, eventually becoming a small dot like a star in the night sky, until it was submerged by the Gray Fog and completely disappeared.
As the Gray Fog surged, the deep, dark passage that continuously extended forward was also refilled.
After a moment, Klein, having come back to his senses, let out a long breath and sighed, "How thick is this Gray Fog? It seems to have no end?"
"Perhaps it stretches for thousands of miles, or perhaps it's not even as thick as a single wall. The Celestial Worthy is most skilled at deception and trickery. A teapot can trap a Genie, so a wall blocking many Sefirah is not too surprising."
Leyton sighed with a complex expression, then turned and walked towards the Moon city people who had been observing from a distance behind him.
Standing at the forefront was the High Priest of Moon city, an old man clad in deep brown animal hide.
Compared to the last time Leyton saw him, he was noticeably more energetic and healthier. Among his disheveled gray hair, there were more dark strands, and although his face was still covered with deep wrinkles, it had a more vibrant aura.
