Many Devils grew deformed reproductive organs on their bodies. They embraced each other in groups, like an exaggerated ball of flesh, mating selflessly until their flesh and blood stuck together and grew tree-like branches, without stopping at all.
In the sky, deep within the dense black fog, distorted and strange branches were vaguely forming, gradually binding and assimilating the Demon Monarch hidden in the deepest part.
Freed from the entanglement of the Devils extending from desire, the tentacles stretching out from underground rapidly wriggled, coiling and whipping from different directions, trying to snatch the Conqueror Beyonder characteristic from the Red Angel Evil Spirit, who was caught in self-contradiction and division.
As soon as those python-like black tentacles touched the Red Angel Evil Spirit's body, they uncontrollably retreated, returning to their state a few seconds prior.
This was Ouroboros's "Fate Loop"!
With the Primordial Demoness's status, even after one loop, Her memory would not be lost. All the eyes at the tips of the python-like tentacles opened, gazing at the Red Angel Evil Spirit from different directions and angles.
The Red Angel Evil Spirit, caught in self-contradiction and division, was petrified without resistance, its body covered in a layer of gray-white.
The "Fate Loop" activated again, and the petrified Red Angel Evil Spirit recovered.
The tentacles stretching out from underground shifted their target, some whipping towards Ouroboros, and some coiling towards the Red Angel Evil Spirit.
In the nightmare woven by Adam, the Red Angel Evil Spirit's form was nearly collapsing. Sauron and Einhorn's consciousness became frantic and powerful, as if they wanted to tear the Flame Giant's body into three pieces, even if the result was their own death.
Under Ouroboros's feet, a silver long river slowly formed, connecting head to tail, encircling Medici Sauron Einhorn, initiating a loop of fate, causing him to fall into a cycle of self-destruction again and again, preventing him from truly dying.
Deeper in the dream, Ariehogg, maintaining his dragon form, had a brass-colored book in front of him. The pages turned on their own, revealing an Omniscient Eye that scanned the entire scene, as if it could see all secrets.
Opposite him, Adam transformed into a giant composed of pure light, as tall as a mountain. Around them, the dream constantly evolved, manifesting ancient and powerful creatures one after another, and Calamities one after another, opposing and contending with each other.
Within the dream, tiny brass-colored specks of light rapidly moved, outlining mysterious symbols one after another, continuously analyzing this dream world.
During this process, specks of light continuously formed pairs of brass-colored illusory eyes, directly seeing weak points and creating eyes at weak points.
Under the gaze of these eyes, the dream woven by Adam was not only broken but also continuously modified. A subtle balance was achieved between him and Ariehogg; neither could escape the other to take 0-08.
Leyton sighed and withdrew his gaze, looking at the black fog in the sky tilting towards the Paz River Valley. His expression didn't change much. It was expected that the Dark Side of the Universe would be affected by the Mother Tree of Desire. Even if he had made preparations beforehand, various unexpected situations would arise when facing Adam, causing things to develop in an uncontrollable direction.
While observing the sky, Leyton's figure instantly blurred, disintegrating into complex and pure information streams, surging away towards the direction where Klein and others were besieging Ince Zangwill.
On the outskirts not too far from Berens Port, a strange Monster with eight legs and covered in white feathers was wantonly unleashing its power, pulling the surroundings into deep night, causing the insects and bacteria in the soil to enter eternal slumber, dying little by little in their sleep.
Having contained the Beyonder characteristic of both the 'Evernight' and 'Death' Pathways, Ince Zangwill's own Beyonder abilities underwent a mutation, becoming strange and terrifying.
Rumbling, streaks of silver-white lightning descended from the sky, forming a lightning forest that enveloped the incomplete mythical creature Ince Zangwill had become.
Under the cover of the silver-white lightning, a faint blue light silently slid under Ince Zangwill's feet, forming a small Door. Several large legs covered in coarse, short hair and white feathers instantly sank into it, and as the Door closed, they were severed at the root and teleported outside the lightning forest.
Losing four large legs, Ince Zangwill's body instantly lost balance, falling to the ground, submerged by the continuously striking silver-white lightning.
Outside the lightning forest, Leyton appeared silently. He looked up at the sky, and using the aura of the Gray Fog, his gaze penetrated the obstruction and met Klein's eyes above the Gray Fog.
Smiling lightly at Klein and nodding, Leyton bent down and picked up the antique quill pen that Ince Zangwill had held tightly in his hand.
Having obtained 0-08, Leyton immediately began writing on his sleeve:
"Under the influence of misfortune, the Mental Plague on Ince Zangwill's body erupted. He, maintaining his incomplete mythical creature form, immediately lost control and all sanity."
"The misfortune charm Klein used earlier carried the will of the Evernight Goddess. Under the influence of a Sequence 0 of the same Pathway, Ince Zangwill's state continuously deteriorated. Even though he had lost control, he would still become drowsy, possibly falling into slumber at any moment, dying little by little in eternal sleep."
"Based on various coincidences and the influence of fate, this is a very reasonable development!"
As the last punctuation mark fell, Ince Zangwill, maintaining his incomplete mythical creature form, suddenly had a bewildered look in his eyes. Various emotions and thoughts surged in his mind, constantly expanding, making it difficult for him to even think normally.
Above the Gray Fog, Klein noticed the words Leyton had written with 0-08. He immediately waved the sea god scepter, causing the surrounding wind to differentiate: one half became sharp and piercing, as if it could directly stab the Spirit Body and harm one's spirit, while the other half became deep and heavy, like thunder, shaking the mind.
Ince Zangwill's dark, sunken eyes showed a painful expression. On his sharpened, elongated teeth, translucent faces began to struggle. The Natural Spirits sealed on his teeth were affected by the wind, appearing extremely pained.
The white feathers growing on his body began to fall off in pieces, constantly oozing pale yellow oil. At the position of his torso where four legs had been severed, white bones grew out, replacing the original large legs.
On the four newly grown white bone legs, each had a bird's skull, with pale flames burning in the eye sockets, as if new consciousness had been born within, originating from the various mad consciousnesses split from Ince Zangwill's mind.
Boom! Boom!
Silver-white electric snakes frequently darted out. Taking advantage of Ince Zangwill's poor condition, Klein continuously unleashed lightning from above the Gray Fog via the sea god scepter.
The dazzling silver-white light made it impossible for Anderson and Leonard to fully open their eyes, and they dared not use their naked eyes to locate Ince Zangwill, who was revealing his incomplete mythical creature form.
With various emotions and thoughts surging and becoming uncontrollable, Ince Zangwill, under the instinct of survival, dragged his body, covered in scorch marks and moving extremely awkwardly, to dodge the lightning strikes. His insane instinct made him want to kill the weak insects around him who dared to besiege him.
"Die! Die! Die!"
From his more wolf-like lips, filled with sharp fangs, continuous, broken whispers emanated, similar to a Spirit Guide's "Language of the Dead," but carrying the madness and corruption of an incomplete mythical creature.
This sound could bypass the protection of the flesh and blood body, directly reverberating within the Spirit Body, making it difficult to block.
Anderson and Danitz simultaneously covered their heads with both hands, painfully half-kneeling on the ground. Their exposed skin gradually turned pale, growing age spots, showing signs of aging and death.
Leonard looked at Danitz and Anderson in confusion. He suddenly couldn't hear anything, as if he had entered a silent world.
"Don't just stand there! I stole your hearing. Quickly stab the scissors in your hand into Ince Zangwill's body. With his current luck, just one stab will trigger the special ability of those scissors."
Pallez's voice suddenly echoed in Leonard's mind.
After a brief stunned, Leonard immediately came to his senses and muttered softly:
"I can't confirm his location. He's maintaining an incomplete mythical creature form."
"Old man, do you have any ideas?"
"Old man? Old man?"
Leonard's tone gradually became anxious, but Pallez did not respond to him again.
Leyton, observing from not far away, once again discovered Amon's trace. He had not left Berens Port!
Leyton's body blurred again, disintegrating into streams of information, surging towards the place where Amon appeared.
At the northernmost dock of Berens Port, a swirl of colors silently spread out, as if an invisible paintbrush was outlining colors, depicting Amon's figure.
He held a monocle with several new cracks in his right hand, but the layer of mist covering it had disappeared.
Putting the broken monocle back over his right eye, he looked up at the pitch-black night sky and said in a deep voice:
"Evernight..."
As complex and pure information streams surged, Leyton's body reassembled. He stood dozens of meters away, looking thoughtfully at Amon and saying:
"Evernight? So you didn't go back to fix your glasses; you were locked in a small dark room by Evernight!"
Amon turned his head to look at Leyton and scoffed:
"I owe it to the two drops of River of Eternal Darkness water you gave me. Otherwise, I wouldn't have escaped the Concealed World created by Evernight so easily."
As the two spoke, the Dark Side of the Universe, which had been wantonly releasing its influence and polluting the surroundings, stopped.
