Oriar said, "Mr. Liebe, by the way, how long are you planning to stay in the Empire?"
Liebe said, "About 2 more days. I still have some work in the Abyssal Zone. But why?"
Oriar said, "If possible, I would like to host you at my house."
Liebe said, "That would be a bit much. And I will be in the Abyssal Zone with Fang and Licht. I need something."
Oriar said, "If that is the case, why not take Alysa and Eosian with you? Alysa is already great at these theoretical parts, so she might help."
Liebe said, "Umm, I'm not exactly sure—"
Licht said, "I mean, sending your daughter and son into the Abyssal Zone and so deep too, with a stranger?"
Lilith screamed, "They will do it!"
Licht said, "Huhhh? What? Do you even know what you are saying?"
Lilith said, "Nope. But if it means I get to pet her more and get yummy food, sounds good to me."
Liebe said, "Alright then. But I have a request myself."
Oriar said, "Alright then. Please go ahead."
Liebe said, "Please don't tell the hotel staff my dragon drooled on their infinity pool. I really like this hotel, and whenever I'm in the Empire on business, I stay here. So please help."
Oriar said, "Alright. It's a deal."
Alysa said, "Umm, Mr. Liebe, what time do we leave tomorrow? I have classes from 7am to 11am. So is 11:30 am OK?"
Licht said, "Yup. As long as you bring something delicious to eat, any time is good for me."
Alysa said, "Of course."
Licht said, "Thanks."
Liebe said, "11:30 it is then."
Oriar said, "And Mr. Liebe, no matter what anyone says, you have my gratitude."
Liebe said, "Sure."
As they left on their way out:
Eosian said, "Dad, why do you like that guy so much?"
Oriar said, "He is a good man."
Eosian said, "Good man? Good man? He wanted to touch Sis. He tried to—not to mention he touched her leg."
Oriar said, "Yes."
Eosian said, "Seriously, Dad."
Oriar said, "Listen. Do you know why I was a pillar of the Empire despite being a weak man?"
Eosian said, "No, Dad."
Oriar said, "Because of my magical ability: Perception. It allows me to glimpse into the true nature and intentions of a man. And its full potential was only drawn out because I was a diplomat. He may have said inappropriate things, but he never lied about anything. Don't worry."
Oriar said, "And Alysa, what do you think of him?"
Alysa said, "He may be darkness, but he feels warm, for some reason."
Oriar said, "Remain by his side, then. Help him, if possible."
