"You seem confident so I'll give you the next question" The Lady said
"Why did you let the king die?"
"I didn't let him-" Cinister was cut off by Ragna who put his hand on Cinister's mouth
"Calm down, we have only 1 attempt at each question so let's take this seriously" Ragna explained as he lowered his hand and thought to himself "She obviously did that to ragebait Cinister but what could actually be the answer"
"What if it's a trick question again" Alya walked up and whispered to Ragna
"I mean the first one was a trick as well so maybe" Ragna replied as he put his hand on his chin
"I'd like to answer it" Cinister demanded while he looked down
"Are you sure?" Ragna questioned as he put his hand on Cinister's shoulder
"Yeah I'm positive" said Cinister as he walked up towards the Librarian
"I didn't let him die he was foolish enough to think that the Fanga... no that I could defend against Belno Demonheart" Cinister asnwered the question with a sorrowful voice
"Correct!" the boss said "Now for the final question"
"Why do you climb the Tower?"
"That's easy" Cinister said "I climb it because I want to know what happened to my family"
"I want to get rich and find my true love" Alya said confidently as she stood behind Cinister
"And I want to become the best swordsman so I can protect the innocent" Ragna replied as he lifted his chest up
"Good Answers" The lady pronounsed, she was impressed with their motivations as she gazed at them with serious look "But someone told a lie"
"Huh?!" The Fangra said in unison
"Fortunately I'm in a good mood so I'll let you go" The Lady said as she opened the stairs to the next floor "Just be careful of who you trust or you will die a painful death"
"Did someone lie?" Alya questioned while looking at Ragna and Cinister
"I'm positive she only said that to scare us" Cinister while he put his hand on Ragna's shoulder.
"Whatever let's just go to the next floors" Alya said as they went up the stairs
The Fangra continued on their quest to climb the Tower. On the 18th floor they fought in a volcano against magma creatures and their boss was the Volcano itself. But with their combined teamwork they defeated it.
On the 19th floor they encountered a snowy biome that took them 7 days to traverse the floor defeating small ice bunnies for food. And the boss was a Frost King which was furious about the bunnies. After a long and rigorous battle the Fangra came out on top with minor scars.
"Damn that Frost King was sure a hassle" Cinister said as he laid on the snow
"At least no one got hurt too bad" Alya said as she crouched infront of Cinister
"Yeah yeah but still my brain hurts from the stair puzzle" he said as he made a snow angel
"Well we do have 2 epic and 5 rare scrolls from it" Ragna chimmed in while bringing them
"I don't care about those" Cinister whinned in the snow
"Let's just go to the next floor" Alya said while patting Cinister
Then The Crew went up to the 20th floor but before they even see the landscape they can feel that their Nexus vanished.
"Huh what happened" Alya worried while looking at her hands
"Calm down it's from the Tower" Cinister explained calmly
"What do you mean from the Tower?" Ragna asked while looking confused
"Since the Tower can control concepts. It can control the concept of Nexus, strength, speed, durability and etc." Cinister said while looking disappointed in Ragna
"Why is the Tower so strong and why are you looking at me like that" Ragna responded in defensive
"1. The Tower is a phenomena which is too complex for even the smartest people in the world and 2. Because our Teacher talk about this for 5 days straight." Cinister scolded Ragna
The Fangra cautiously stepped onto the 20th floor, still unsettled by the sudden disappearance of their Nexus. The pressure of the Tower lingered around them like an invisible weight, making every movement feel strangely unfamiliar. For a moment, none of them spoke as they moved forward through the massive stone entrance.
Then the path opened.
Before them stretched an enormous mountain landscape unlike anything they had seen in the Tower before. Towering peaks pierced the clouds high above, their snowy summits glowing beneath a pale silver sky. Endless forests covered the valleys below, while rivers of crystal-clear water can be spotted. The air was cold, fresh, and filled with the sounds of life.
Wildlife covered the floor in overwhelming numbers.
Massive deer with huge antlers ran across the hills in herds, birds and bees circled the skies, and strange wolf-like creatures watched silently from the tree line before disappearing back into the forest. Even enormous creatures resembling dinosaurs could be seen wandering far in the distance near the mountains.
"The air is really nice" Alya said while looking at some bunnies
"Yeah I guess Benny(The Gardians who fille the rooms with air) is working hard for this floor" Ragna said while taking in the beautiful nature
"I agree with that but what is that strange looking guy in a silly tree costume doing here?" Cinister asked as he pointed towards the stange man
Ragna and Alya looked at where Cinister was pointing just to see the guy waving from them to arrive. They made their way to the guy.
"Hello I'm your friend Try and I'm here to show you to the challenge" He said as he started walking towards a small camp.
The Fangra followed him to a cabin and opened just to see 12 people waiting patiently around a campfire.
"Allen!" Cinister yelled with wide eyes
"Yo we meet again, Cini" Allen said while sizing him up
