Chapter 337 - Chapter 336 Wedding

MGM Grand Hotel, Los Angeles.

Kyle, arm in arm with Lima, stepped out of the car and, surrounded by his security team, walked along the red carpet towards the hotel.

As the wedding of the famous billionaire Kirk Kerkorian, it naturally attracted a lot of media attention.

"Mr. Page, you've been invited to offer your blessings, so may I ask when you plan to get married?" a reporter asked Kyle.

The surrounding reporters, like fish smelling blood, swarmed over.

Kyle smiled and said, "Come on. Today is the wedding of the King of Gambling, Kerkorian. Is it really appropriate for you to ask me this question? So I refuse to answer, but if I really do marry Lima, I will definitely inform you all then."

"Mr. Page, please say a few more words!" a group of reporters chased after Kyle.

However, Kyle didn't give them face and continued to walk forward with Lima, smiling.

The surrounding security team was not to be trifled with, tightly protecting Kyle and Lima and keeping the media reporters out.

"Lima, that old guy Kerkorian really knows how to plan," Kyle quipped.

"What do you mean?" Lima asked curiously.

Kyle immediately laughed, "Look, whose hotel is hosting today's wedding?"

"MGM Grand Hotel, what about it?" Lima replied.

"What about it indeed?"

Kyle laughed, "The MGM Grand Hotel is this old man's property, and it's one of his pillar industries. He doesn't even forget to promote it at his own wedding. Don't you think this old man is very cunning?"

Upon hearing this, Lima immediately chuckled, "When you entertain friends, and when Page Pictures holds its new film press conferences, aren't they also held at your own hotel?"

Kyle: "…"

Well, Kyle was speechless.

Besides owning an entertainment company, Kyle also owned a four-star hotel in Los Angeles and Burbank. Adhering to the idea of keeping profits within and self-marketing, Kyle had issued an order that all film press conferences were to be held at his own hotel.

He even made sure to include hotel scenes from several of his movies as product placements.

"Lima, that old man Kerkorian and I are not the same kind of people," Kyle said stiffly.

He would rather lose the battle than admit defeat; he would never concede orally.

Lima smiled and said nothing. After dating for several years, she knew Kyle too well.

Thick-skinned, dark-hearted, shameless… Soon, Kyle and Lima entered.

"Hi, Mr. Page, Ms. Lima, welcome!" A pot-bellied man in his 50s gave Kyle a bear hug.

"Marlos, today is your boss's wedding, not yours. Why do you look like the groom?" Kyle teased.

Lima, unlike Kyle, politely said, "Good evening, Mr. Orl."

Marlos Orl, a veteran Hollywood producer, currently serves as Vice President of MGM Pictures and is one of the King of Gambling Kerkorian's confidants.

"Kyle, even though it's not my wedding today, I'm happy. And I believe I'll be even happier when you get married," Marlos laughed heartily.

Kyle sincerely said, "Then thank you for your blessings."

It was all just polite talk.

To be honest, Kyle's relationship with MGM Pictures was very ordinary, with almost no close ties. Of course, when Page Pictures was first established, Kyle had a falling out with a mid-level manager at MGM Pictures over the overseas distribution rights for "Run Lola Run." However, those were old stories, best left unmentioned.

"Huh?"

At this moment,

Kyle, sitting in a certain part of the banquet hall, asked Marlos, "That group of old men over there, um, the ones who are talking and laughing, they look a bit familiar. Who are they?"

Lima also echoed, "I don't know them either, but they look like important figures."

"Hey, hey, hey, Kyle, you don't know them?!" Marlos looked at Kyle with a strange expression.

Kyle frowned: "They're not US dollars, why should I necessarily know them?"

Marlos laughed: "They are US dollars!"

After an explanation, Kyle suddenly understood.

Just as Marlos said, they were US dollars.

The group of old men talking and laughing not far away were all big figures in the American automotive industry, either owners or presidents and vice presidents of General Motors, Ford, and Chrysler.

The amount of money car companies spend on product placement in Hollywood movies each year is not a small sum.

The films shot by Page Pictures each year all feature advertising placements from these three major automotive groups, and the amount of money is considerable.

"So it's them!" Lima exclaimed.

Kyle also couldn't help but smile, "I usually don't pay attention to these things; Victor and Bill handle them. Since they're here today, I'll have to say hello later, after all, they're the ones who bring in the money."

These old guys are big shots, that's true, but Kyle is no ordinary person either.

In terms of personal wealth, Kyle's billions certainly exceed most of theirs… The 82-year-old King of Gambling, Kerkorian, was remarrying a former professional tennis player, Lisa Bonder. The two had been together for nearly ten years.

As for their ages, of course, it was an old husband and a young wife!

Therefore, their wedding, held in the church this afternoon, was not overly extravagant, nor did it invite many people. So, tonight's wedding banquet was the main event, signifying that he was informing everyone that he was married again.

What's interesting is that the bride, Lisa Bonder, during her relationship with the King of Gambling Kerkorian, also dated Steve Bing, with whom Kyle had recently fallen out. The two had also dated this year.

"The old King of Gambling certainly has an appetite!" Kyle couldn't help but think.

Kyle truly couldn't compliment his indiscriminate taste.

"Hi, Mr. Page, good evening!"

Just then, another person greeted Kyle.

—Salma Hayek.

"Good evening, Ms. Hayek." Kyle recognized the person.

Salma Hayek, a Brazilian-born Hollywood actress, whose role as the snake dancer in "From Dusk Till Dawn" in 1995 is still fondly remembered by countless movie fans.

However… her career development in recent years hasn't been very good.

Therefore, even though she was invited to the wedding tonight, not many people were willing to bother with her, this "unpopular," "third-tier" actress.

But Kyle was willing to befriend her!!!

"If you're interested, I can invite you to audition for a movie. The casting for 'The Beach' is about to begin; I hope you can come." After some conversation, Kyle immediately extended an invitation.

"Really?" Salma Hayek was very excited.

It's worth noting that she hadn't been doing well this year.

"Thank you, a million thanks, Mr. Page~"

In June of this year, "Wild Wild West," starring her as the female lead and Will Smith as the male lead, was released. The film had a production budget of 180 million US dollars, but… its global box office was only 130 million US dollars.

It was a huge loss.

Hollywood pursues success and denigrates failure.

As a casualty of box office failure, Salma Hayek couldn't get any good roles now and hadn't worked for several months.

Kyle's invitation now was like a long-awaited rain after a drought; how could she not be immensely grateful?

"Phew~ This isn't like your style." Marlos said strangely.

Lima also looked at Kyle in confusion.

"Haha!" Kyle smiled without speaking.

Should he tell them that as a transmigrator, he knew about Salma Hayek's impressive future achievements?

In the future, she would star in the famous film "Frida," which brought her great renown, but let's not get ahead of ourselves.

Just the TV series "Ugly Betty," which she spearheaded and produced, was enough to make her a sensation for a time.

Moreover, in the future, her husband would be the CEO of Kering Group, with a personal net worth of 30 billion US dollars. She would be the lady boss of Kering Group.

Gucci, Balenciaga, and other well-known luxury brands all belong to Kering Group.
