Cherreads

Chapter 476 - Chapter 25: Better Next Time

Also, what's the difference between attacking a server and cheating?

In terms of how bad it is, attacking the server so no one can play is way worse than cheating! How do you have the nerve to criticize Jibril!

Perhaps noticing Sū ěr gaze, Think looked back, huffed, and said: "Those ignorant humans could only pathetically accuse me of cheating when faced with operations they couldn't understand. The stupid officials followed their lead and banned my account, even though I had zero data issues. Since they love 'impotent rage' so much, I figured I'd give them something real to be angry about."

So you just blew up the server?

Sū ěr was speechless.

"Puh-puh-puh, it's been more than once~" Jibril sneered from the side. "Every time that game's officials open the server, this weed attacks it. It's been shut down for over a month now, hasn't it? The players have probably all left."

"That is the price of offending me! The Nirvalen family is not to be desecrated!" Think lifted her head proudly, showing zero remorse.

You're actually proud of this!

"Hacking is illegal, isn't it?" Sū ěr roasted her weakly.

"How can that be? This is knowledge that already exists in human society. I didn't use power beyond humans, did I? So for me, this is rational." After giving Sū ěr one last eye-roll, Think shrank back into his body.

The theater was likely preparing for the next screening; if he listened closely, he could hear the staff's footsteps outside.

Sū ěr ran out very fast. The ticket collector was staring intently at his back; he clearly remembered this man walking in with a beautiful blonde woman. How did it become a pink-haired woman on the way out?

Fortunately, in a world where supernatural powers supposedly didn't exist, people didn't jump to "gods and demons" when they saw something weird. Plus, being in a crowded place saved Sū ěr some trouble.

Since they'd had dinner first, it was quite late by the time they finished the movie. However, the city lights still illuminated every corner of the street. If you didn't look up, it was hard to believe it was nearly midnight; even the foot traffic on the streets hadn't decreased much.

It wasn't until they left the main commercial street and approached the residential area that it finally felt like night. There was no one else on the street besides Sū ěr and Jibril, and not even the lights in the houses were on.

The spring night wasn't hot; it was actually quite cool.

"This country always has various fireworks festivals in the summer. Hmm, if we could see fireworks rising now when we look up, wouldn't it be more romantic?" Sū ěr said seriously. After he spoke, Jibril looked up at the sky with him.

It was empty. Even the distant starlight seemed to be hiding tonight, dim to the point of being invisible. The sky was like a black box—it would be better if fireworks exploded in it; then it wouldn't look so plain.

Sū ěr thought with some regret.

In Japan, where setting off fireworks requires prior reporting, Sū ěr naturally had no intention of suddenly bothering the police in the middle of the night, even if Jibril didn't care about such trifles.

"Then we'll just wait until summer to see them, won't we?" Jibril said casually. Looking at her indifferent expression, Sū ěr couldn't help but laugh.

As expected, this expression was much more familiar on Jibril own face; the sense of dissonance was gone.

"What are you laughing at?" Jibril asked, displeased.

"Nothing, nothing," Sū ěr defended himself while his laughter grew louder. Think also manifested her form in his laughter; now the three of them were walking down the street together.

He wasn't socially anxious, but Sū ěr truly felt that the three of them walking openly like this was quite nice. It would be best if no one else came to disturb them.

"In spring, don't the people of this country watch the cherry blossoms?" Think said casually.

"Isn't it already past cherry blossom season? It's almost summer, right?" Sū ěr scratched his head. "It's fine. We have plenty of time. We can go next year."

"Whatever. I'm not interested in that flower, but if you want to go, I wouldn't mind accompanying you," Think shrugged.

As soon as she spoke, Sū ěr knew it was the "old Tsundere" talking.

Think preferred flowers with strong scents and vibrant colors; Sū ěr wasn't surprised she didn't like cherry blossoms.

"We'll see. It's hard to get bored in this world, anyway," Sū ěr said with a smile. He felt Jibril suddenly squeeze his palm. "What is it?"

"I remember you mentioned before that there are monsters in this world?" Jibril eyes sparkled.

"Yes, that's right. They're hidden in human society, though in my view, they've basically been tamed by humans. Calling them humans who can transform or possess superpowers wouldn't be far off," Sū ěr thought for a moment before saying: "But I hear many of my old friends have survived to this day... if you get bored, you can try to find them."

"I imagine even they haven't lost that 'monster' scent," Sū ěr guessed. Jibril knew who he was talking about.

Before she brought the three of them back to this era, she had indeed seen those monsters who came to the door.

"Good," Jibril nodded with satisfaction. "This world really isn't that boring."

She thought of that green-haired guy.

"Just don't go causing any large-scale destruction, okay?" Sū ěr felt compelled to remind her. He was a bit worried Jibril would do something fatal in the heat of the moment.

"Don't worry, don't worry~~" Waving her hand with a grin, Jibril suddenly took two quick steps forward, then turned back to look at Sū ěr and Think. "So, is this what you call a 'date'?"

Jibril raised the hand that was still interlaced with Sū ěr and waved it. It looked a bit like a provocation, but fortunately, Think only gave a dissatisfied huff and said nothing.

"A date?" Sū ěr also felt a bit unsure.

Today's date was indeed completely different from the sweet, romantic, and bashful date he had imagined.

But how could this not be a date?

"Of course," Sū ěr said firmly. "This is absolutely a date."

Next time, he would definitely make the atmosphere between them more harmonious and romantic.

They had to truly become a family.
