Chapter 502 - Chapter 502: Battle Rekindled on Wu Hui Island!

Chapter 502: Battle Rekindled on Wu Hui Island!

A massive light barrier, like an inverted giant bowl, descended from the sky, enveloping the entirety of Wu Hui Island.

The barrier glowed a deep yellow hue, heavy and solemn. Its brilliance seemed unshakable and indestructible as it rippled gently with every fluctuation—instilling awe in all who looked upon it.

At this moment, the island was teeming with people. From the shorelines to the inner reaches, silhouettes filled every inch of the land.

However, all of their faces were painted with panic.

Their terrified eyes stared beyond the barrier, where the sky had turned pitch-black. Swarms of demonic clouds hovered menacingly. Within those clouds, countless demon shadows flitted about, and sharp, ear-piercing shrieks echoed far and wide, stirring waves across the sea.

The demonic aura constantly pressed against the yellow barrier, sending wave-like ripples across its surface. Each ripple struck fear into the hearts of everyone watching.

If the barrier were to shatter, they would be completely exposed—left to the mercy of the vicious demon horde with no hope of survival.

The atmosphere across the island was suffocating.

"What do we do? The energy barrier… it's weakening…"

"What else can we do? Besides hiding on Wu Hui Island, there's nowhere to run!"

"Are we really going to die here?"

"If there's still any hope… maybe it lies with that senior inside the Primordial Tower!"

...

Representatives of countless factions had gathered here, and as panic spread, whispers of despair filled the air.

"Bad news! Someone's broken into the barrier!"

Suddenly, someone rushed in from the island's edge, shouting in alarm.

Everyone froze for a moment, then instinctively looked skyward—where four figures floated just outside the yellow barrier.

Demonic energy surged around them, and from the distance, a massive wave of demons had already begun to swarm toward their location.

"Is that… Lin Fan?"

From the Gu Clan's contingent, Gu Mengqi and Gu Yan stared at the figures beyond the barrier, their expressions shifting in shock.

"Lin Fan?!"

That name caused a stir. Most of the powers gathered here had once participated in the Five-Family Martial Meet in Tianfeng Sea, so Lin Fan's name wasn't unfamiliar.

They hadn't expected him to appear here—now, of all times.

As everyone watched in stunned silence, brilliant silver light flared outside the barrier.

The next moment, the space in front of the leaders of each faction twisted violently. Then, with a flicker of silver, four figures suddenly appeared out of thin air.

"What…"

Everyone's pupils constricted, eyes filled with disbelief.

They all knew how powerful that yellow barrier was—after all, it was the only thing holding the demon army at bay.

And yet Lin Fan had effortlessly pierced through it and appeared inside the island.

"Lin Fan, why would you come to Wu Hui Island now? It's too dangerous here!" Gu Mengqi was the first to recover. She looked at him, clearly worried.

Lin Fan smiled lightly and cupped his fists. "I'm here to guard someone through their recovery."

"Miss Mengqi, Miss Yan—it's been a while."

"Heh, Brother Lin Fan, we've heard so much about you lately," said the Gu Clan's patriarch, Gu Tong, stepping forward after Lin Fan finished exchanging pleasantries with the Gu sisters.

"This is my grandfather, the head of the Gu Clan," Gu Mengqi said softly.

"A pleasure to meet you, Clan Leader Gu," Lin Fan replied with a polite smile.

He had always had a good impression of the Gu Clan.

Gu Tong smiled and asked, "Might I ask—who is the person you came here to guard?"

"The one inside the Primordial Tower," Lin Fan answered, pointing toward the center of the island. "He's currently recovering. It won't be long before he's back at full strength."

Everyone was stunned. The one in the tower? The one who created this barrier?

Gu Tong and the Gu sisters exchanged surprised glances but didn't press the matter further, choosing instead to nod in acknowledgement.

Gu Mengqi and Gu Yan glanced curiously at the two women beside Lin Fan.

"This is Ying Huanhuan, and this is Qing Tan," Lin Fan said with a smile, making introductions on both sides.

Afterward, Lin Fan instructed all the forces on the island to follow Ying Huanhuan and Qing Tan's command, uniting into a single battle formation to face the demons once the barrier fell. Meanwhile, he would enter the Primordial Tower to check on the Master of the Primordial Wilderness.

Some of the factions were initially reluctant to submit. However, after Qing Tan ruthlessly eliminated a few defiant leaders and displayed her terrifying strength, no one dared object again.

As everyone prepared for battle, four days quickly passed.

On the fifth day, cracks began to form on the massive yellow energy barrier overhead. With the continued impact of the overwhelming demonic energy, it finally shattered!

At the moment the barrier collapsed, darkness fell over the land. The monstrous demon aura outside—dormant until now—revealed its hideous face.

With shrill shrieks, a sea of demons surged forth from the clouds like locusts, charging toward Wu Hui Island.

Standing calmly atop the sky, Lin Fan looked up at the sky-blackening swarm. He raised his palm, and thunderclouds instantly gathered.

Bolts of lightning raged and roared down from the heavens, crashing into the sea of demons.

Boom! Boom!

Thunder exploded.

Screams rang out as countless demons were instantly struck and turned to ash. Burnt corpses rained from the sky.

"Kill!!"

Seeing Lin Fan unleash such overwhelming power, morale across the island surged. A thunderous battle cry echoed as waves of Yuan Power erupted, sweeping across the island in a united counterattack.

Ying Huanhuan and Qing Tan also joined the fray, slaughtering demons with ruthless efficiency.

Rumble!

The two sides collided in a blaze of Yuan Power and demonic energy, plunging the battlefield into chaos.

Limbs flew. Blood spilled. And the invading demons were slain in droves.

The demonic clouds churned. And then, almost imperceptibly—the demon assault began to slow.

Moments later, an enormous whirlpool of demonic energy formed in the sky outside the island, twisting so violently that it seemed space itself might shatter.

From within that vortex came the sound of footsteps—soft, but growing closer.

Silhouettes emerged.

And when they stepped out into the open sky, every cultivator could feel it—the Yuan Power in the heavens roiled wildly as if provoked by their mere presence.

"Heh… so you're Lin Fan?"

A voice echoed coldly through the air.

Six demon shadows stepped onto the battlefield, treading on demonic clouds. The one in the lead fixed his cold gaze on Lin Fan, his smile laced with killing intent.

"You've ruined quite a few of our Demon Prison's plans in recent years. Today, we'll take your life in return."

"And which one of the Demon Prison's beasts are you supposed to be?" Lin Fan replied calmly, rising into the air to meet the gaze of the lead demon. "Planning to kill me? You'd better pray you don't end up like the Seventh and Ninth Kings."
