Night fall.
Shin leaves on the railing of the boat. The cold night breeze washing over him, replenishing his deminished strength.
I really did need some piece and quiet after everything with Ezra and the altar
Shin paused, seemingly remembering something.
"Now come to think about it. Who were those people again," he paused for a moment, rembering the ten thrones.
"Oh yeah the past demon kings. I can't believe the goddess paid for one of the to be betrayed, pretty low for a divine being," He continued still trying to remember anything else.
Shin closed his eyes and tried to remember what else he saw when a flicker of flame erupted in his mind. Sweat ran down his body as he gulped.
He opened his eyes and let out a long sigh.
" Maybe I don't need to remember everything," he said quivering.
"You don't need to remember what?" a voice called from behind.
She leaped like a scared cat as he turned to see it was only Satel. He place his hand on his chest and tried to calm himself down.
"It's nothing important princess," he said in a shrill voice.
Satel pouted as she walked over to the railing and leaned on it as well.
"Just because I'm a princess doesn't mean you need to call me that, my name will suffice," she said in an angry tone.
Shin paused and stared at the pouting Satel.
You don't need to remember what happened that day, just focus on what's happening right now.
Shin slowly got closer to her and bumped into her before pulling her back in.
" But wouldn't it be disrespectful to you to not call you princess. Only someone of equal status can refer to a royal by their name," he said in a soft voice.
"Then Shin'en of the human race, I regard you as my equal," she said smiling, staring into his eyes.
Shin smiled as she leaned in to hug Satel.
"I never really got the chance to thank you for giving me a second chance at life, so thank you Satel," he whispered into her ear, tightening his grip.
Satel patted him on the back, "I only did it out interest. No need to thank me cause I should be thanking you," she said.
Shin pulled out of the hug and stared into her dazzling emerald eyes.
"I should be thanking you for protecting my father. I know I can't give you much so please accept this," she said placing her hands gently on his face.
She gently stood on her tip toes and pulled Shin in for a kiss. They embraced each other as they lovingly locked in a kiss of passion at it's purest.
Satel pulled back and looked down leaving Shin in a daze. Gently, he lifted her head and pushed back her pink and green her, revealing her bright red face.
Shin chuckled, "This is a first. I should try saving your father more often."
Satel glanced up and bumped into Shin pushing back before pulling him and locking arms with him.
"This is the last time I'm doing this," Satel pouted.
Shin chuckled again as he held her tightly. Satel placed her head on his shoulder.
"Thanks again Shin, I really appreciate what you did. Even if it was hard on you," she said in a gentle voice.
Shin paused for a moment as he stared at the beauty beside him and smiled.
"I'd do it all over again, If it means I can get to see you smile," he said placing his head on hers.
Yeah, I did the right thing.
