Chapter 151 - The World Beyond Orario

Chaos ensued the following day.

The people of Orario were split into three types. Those who supported the alliance....especially since the figure apparently leading it was Damien, the first ever Level Ten in the history of the dungeon, the hero given an alias by Ouranos himself: The Shadow Monarch.

Others stayed neutral, opting not to judge how this alliance planned to run the city and instead wait a few months before picking a side.

The final side was the opposition. Mostly people from different Familias who found the alliance to be a problem....one that could undermine their plans. A few members of evil remnants also started spreading horrible rumors about how this alliance planned to run Orario as a dictatorship, leading to fears in the public increasing.

Freya and Loki had always kept this city split. Now that they were on one side, it led people to realize that all Familias in this city combined were not enough to challenge the two. The only Familia that had a chance recently was Hestia's.....a Familia that now led said alliance.

Of course, the news was not just spreading in Orario. Other cities as well. Kingdoms all around felt that this alliance meant one thing: Orario was expanding and becoming far stronger than it already was.

.....

A bit to the southwest of Orario, in a little militaristic kingdom known as Rakia, the king shouted.

"WHAT! THOSE BASTARDS OF ORARIO! HOW DARE THEY?!"

Martinus Rakia, known to everyone outside his kingdom as the Foolish King, was the captain of the Ares Familia and one of the reasons the Rakia Kingdom kept launching wars at their neighboring nations—including Orario.

An advisor continued reading the letter. "If one and a half billion Valis is not delivered to Orario by an official delegation from the Rakia Kingdom in one week, to the great alliance of the Eternal Hearth, Ares will be sent to Heaven and all of the other members will be imprisoned indefinitely."

"STOP READING THE DAMN LETTER!" Martinus shouted.

He turned to his advisor.

"So... what are our plans? Do we launch another attack to save our honorable god?"

The advisor hesitated. "My king... that plan will surely fail. We do not have the manpower to infiltrate Orario."

"Foolishness! We are Rakia! The strongest, most powerful nation in the world! We have the godking with us! We will not fail!"

"My lord, if Lord Ares is sent back to Heaven, we will lose all our Falna soldiers. We would go back to being a weak nation." The advisor bowed his head. "We must pay the ransom, my lord."

Martinus's face paled. "What? I will lose my power? No! That cannot be! Okay, prepare the gold then."

Another advisor spoke up. "My lord... we cannot find one and a half billion Valis in a week."

"Don't be foolish! Just raise the taxes! This is to save our lord Ares! The people will understand."

The advisor sighed. "Again... yes, my lord."

.....

To the south of Orario, in the great country of magic known as Altena, the leaders—a group of seven mages called the Seven....met together.

Rayla of the Land, the leader of the Seven, spoke first. "What is our stance on the events happening in Orario?"

Lara of the Flames waved a dismissive hand. "Stance? We have no stance. Orario can do what it likes. Why should we care?"

Danna the Frozen crossed her arms. "Orario is a nation with many talented mages. Like that wretched Riveria and her disciple, the Thousand Elf."

Raykard the Devourer chuckled. "You are still jealous that another high elf exists who is more talented than you?"

"Fool! She is right! She betrayed her kind to go to Orario! It is banned!" Lenna of the Sky snapped.

Ravel the Sleeper yawned. "You elves and your drama. Are you two not technically traitors as well?"

Garl the Gravity King raised a hand. "Enough. The topic is Orario. The Level Ten. The alliance the individual known as Damien Ardent created."

Rykard leaned forward. "We must find a way to be looked upon favorably by this man. If he is as strong as they say... we are at his mercy."

Danna scoffed. "Or we ally ourselves with neighboring kingdoms, raise power, and stand up to that city that has long been taking control of that damned dungeon."

Lara shook her head. "No kingdom we can ally with is strong enough to face Orario. Are you a fool?"

Rayla raised her hand, calming the situation. "It matters not. For now, let us watch what this alliance's policy about the outside nations is first. Perhaps the alliance is merely focused on their city."

....

"Winner by decapitation! Argana!"

The voice was meek, small, and pure. Yet the person behind that voice was none other than the goddess of the country known as Telskyura.

Kali.

She looked petite and small, with crimson hair and crimson eyes. But she was a lover of bloodlust. Her kingdom resided on an island far to the west of Orario—even west of Altena. A country comprised mostly of female warriors who bred only with slaves they bought from other nations. A country known for its brutality and strength. Estimated to be second only to Orario.

Argana jumped toward her goddess and kneeled. "My goddess."

She presented the head of her opponent—a Level Four who had dared to challenge the hierarchy.

"I present to you this offering."

"Accepted, dear Argana! Now rest!" Kali spoke as she leaned further into her massive couch, which she used to watch the fights.

She took a bite of her grapes. "A Level Ten male... Ah. One has finally achieved the impossible. I should have paid more attention when that whore Ishtar begged for my help." She shrugged. "Meh, it does not matter now. That bitch is back in Heaven."

Bache, Argana's younger sister and the second captain of the Kali Familia after Argana, spoke. "What will we do about him, my goddess?"

Kali tapped her chin. "I am not sure. Perhaps... it is time we visited Orario. See how strong this man is." She rubbed her belly. "Perhaps his seed can grant even a goddess a child. A dream many of us hold."

She sighed dramatically.

"God, I am so horny. But unfortunately, none is worthy of my divine grace." She sat up. "Okay, I have decided. We are visiting our old friends—Tiona and Tione—and this man of theirs. Damien, was it?"

Argana grunted. "A name of a weak male, to be trampled on."

Kali's eyes narrowed. "Not so sure about that, dear. As much as I love you, if he is a Level Ten, he could beat you into submission and rape you standing, my dear. Do not get too cocky on me. I need my dear captain alive if we are going to get him to mate with one of you."

She stood up.

"Prepare a delegation, Bache! I want to see this man!"
