Inside the Alliance headquarters, upon seeing the former Kage appear on the battlefield, the current Mizukage, Raikage, and Tsuchikage exchanged glances and likewise requested permission from Minato to head to the front lines.
In the original story, these four Kage were meant to be handled by Naruto, but with the Alliance now possessing overwhelming strength, Naruto never even got the chance to step in and could only obediently continue warming the bench.
Naruto was visibly dejected by this. Sasuke was already rampaging across the battlefield with Susanoo, yet he still hadn't had any chance to shine.
He gloomily stared at the sensory water sphere, then suddenly his eyes lit up as he said to Hoshiyomi and Minato beside him:

Seeing this turn of events, Hanzō atop Ibuse realized the danger and was just about to use the Body Flicker Technique to escape, when the chakra jets behind Kimimaro suddenly changed direction.
Propelled by the redirected thrust, Kimimaro shot upward into the air, his arm blade slashing directly toward Hanzō.
Hanzō's Body Flicker was interrupted, forcing him to block with the scythe in his hand. However, what he hadn't expected was just how absurdly hard Kimimaro's arm blade was—after a single clash, it knocked Hanzō's scythe aside.
At the same time, the arm armor on Kimimaro's hand rapidly transformed, the spikes converging and instantly forming a shark's gaping maw that snapped shut around Hanzō of the Salamander.
Once bitten, Hanzō's chakra was rapidly drained. Meanwhile, Kimimaro didn't slow down in the slightest, unleashing a flurry of attacks in midair like a violent, whirling dance.
Back at the Alliance headquarters, Naruto was completely stunned by the scene. He stared blankly at Kimimaro in his shark-themed armor and muttered in amazement:
