Chapter 442: Map Rewards
[Traversal complete. Congratulations—you've perfectly cleared the map City of Sin II.]
[Summary: Congratulations. This traversal was a complete success—your journey reached a level of true dominion. You perfectly cleared this map, and your performance has surpassed 100% of all other traversers.]
[Although the traversal lasted less than three months, you achieved an extraordinary result with your power and personal charisma. After your departure, the "you" who remained behind completed every stage of the race, ultimately taking first place—proving that you were the strongest rider. The only regret was that no one would ever know what you did for this world. Yet the Holy Grail you left behind as the Nameless Saint drastically changed everything. This world gained a new profession—magus—and the Heroic Spirits who became objects of faith successfully manifested. Though their struggle was difficult, they continued striving to erase misfortune from the world. You made this world ever more wondrous and bizarre.]
[Evaluation: S–. World exploration: 90%. Since you reached 90% exploration, you're awarded 48 traversal coins. For your immense influence on the City of Sin II world, you receive an additional 75 traversal coins. As this is a bonus map, all rewards are doubled. You receive a total of 246 traversal coins.]
[Due to a large difference between your template character and alignment, rewards are reduced to 90% of their value. Final total: 222 traversal coins.]
[Since you achieved an S-rank evaluation and perfect completion in this simulation, Prince Lanling · Zhou Ning has been upgraded to Saint · Zhou Ning, and may now appear when luck is favorable. This evolution applies to all your owned cards.]
[Your current alignment tendency: Chaotic Evil → Lawful Neutral.]
[At this tendency, neither Justice nor Evil factions are weakened or strengthened.]
"Neutral really is the most comfortable route…"
Zhou Ning exhaled deeply. What he had just experienced was shocking enough to leave him dazed.
During the simulation, when Bruce Wayne used his Stand Evil Made Easy to summon versions of himself from parallel worlds, Zhou Ning's game interface had suddenly displayed a party invitation:
"Bruce Wayne invites you to join the dungeon party. Accept invitation? Yes/No."
Even with his current composure, that kind of fourth-wall-breaking moment had sent a chill down his spine. Without hesitation, he silently clicked "No."
Sometimes, staying still means peace and safety—take one wrong step, and you might never come back…
Although the process had its ups and downs, the result was once again a perfect clear. Thanks to his foresight, the Prince of Lanling template—seemingly mediocre at first—had turned out to wield overwhelming dominance in this race-themed world, comparable to the Evil Savior and Oceanologist. He crushed everything in his path.
Just like in Pokémon, there are no useless creatures—only unqualified trainers.
And this time's rewards were likely the greatest he'd ever obtained: not only a powerful Stand and all nine parts of the Saint's Relics, but also a new, unprecedented Divine Feat—Immortal Saint. Combined with the template's innate Divine Feat, Demonic Charisma, it was almost too good to be true.
To be honest, this was probably the closest he'd ever been to god-tier power.
After this traversal, the King of Lanling · Zhou Ning had transcended completely, evolving into a hidden template. Based on Zhou Ning's estimation, its power level ranked among the upper tier—not weaker than giants like Zhou Ning, Over Heaven or White Emperor Zhou Ning.
As for the rewards, despite looking complicated, there wasn't much to think about.
If he chose the Item option, he would most likely get the nine pieces of the Saint's Relics—either as a complete set or as individual parts. The other possible reward, Jason Todd's Energy Sword, he had seen in the comics before—entirely crimson and stylish. However, according to the simulator, the Saint's Relics only worked within the base world; even if he drew them, they'd merely serve as trophies for the Relic Hall.
On the other hand, choosing Skills and Feats was clearly superior. He'd already been coveting the Rainbow Catcher Stand since the simulation. Combining Cortés Sword / Heavenly King with Rainbow Catcher would make a perfect combo. As for Feats, Demonic Charisma and Immortal Saint were naturally top-tier, and Riding was also excellent. In Apocalypse, anyone could ride a horse—but the Riding skill was exclusive to Knights. Zhou Ning never missed a chance to steal such class-specific abilities.
[Please choose your reward.]
[1. Randomly obtain three of the skills or feats you acquired during the traversal.]
[2. Randomly draw three items obtained during the traversal.]
[As this is a bonus map, whichever you choose, you'll receive one extra reward.]
No question—Option 1!
Still, seeing those two dazzling Divine Feats, the chronically unlucky Zhou Ning had a bad feeling that if he clicked too fast, he might miss them entirely…
Sighing, he reached out his hand and took out the green three-leaf clover.
Though he'd sealed it several times before, now—facing a chance he couldn't afford to waste—he broke the seal once more.
He didn't ask for much; just one of the two Divine Feats would be enough. If by chance he got both… he half-wondered if divine thunder would strike him down for disturbing the heavens.
Silently, Zhou Ning activated the charm. A soft green light rose from the clover and seeped into his body.
[You selected Option 1.]
[You obtained the General Skill: Riding (Master Level).]
[Riding: You can expertly handle all mounts and vehicles, including but not limited to warhorses, griffins, steeds, and steam trains. Movement speed +20%.]
[You obtained the Special Skill: Rainbow Catcher (Master Level).]
[Special Skill]
[Effect 1: By donning your mask, you can activate your Stand, halting the path of falling rain and suspending raindrops midair. These droplets become solid enough to bear your weight and can be shaped into blades. Should enemies attempt to pass through them, the rain will tear and pierce them.]
[Effect 2: You can merge completely with the rain, becoming as formless as water, slipping through or evading attacks.]
[Effect 3: You can absorb ambient vapor to create localized rainfall—though it weakens other Stand effects—or condense vapor into water spheres, which can detonate like micro-explosions for powerful and precise impact. On contact, they evaporate instantly, causing a freezing backlash.]
[Effect 4: You can alter the size and shape of raindrops to form a variety of attack types, controlling rainfall within range to move however you wish.]
[You can freely switch your special skills to change combat forms. Cooldown: 30 minutes.]
[You obtained the Divine Feat: Immortal Saint.]
[You obtained the Bonus Reward: Saint's Relics.]
Good thing he'd already used the lucky clover once—its power had weakened. Otherwise, the overabundance of luck might've been too much to handle.
Aside from Demonic Charisma, he had gotten everything he wanted—and finally obtained his first Divine Feat, laying a solid foundation for advancing toward demigodhood.
Still, this haul was almost too generous—he had somehow drawn the entire Saint's Relic set again. Zhou Ning took a deep breath, a little uneasy about the wave of bad luck that might follow.
Then, he turned his gaze toward the attributes of Immortal Saint and the Saint's Relics.
