"Are you acting it out for us?"
Facing Oliver Scott's questioning, Marcus Shaw opened his mouth, wanting to say "no."
However, the sound of footsteps nearby caught his attention.
It was Nora Scott.
"What's happening?" Nora scrutinized Marcus.
"It's nothing." Marcus pressed his lips together, then met Nora's gaze and said frankly, "I twisted my ankle."
Nora frowned, suspiciously examining him, "Which foot?"
"This one." Marcus pointed to his left foot, then said, "It just hurt for a moment, nothing serious."
"Really?"
Nora's intuition told her something was wrong.
But—
She couldn't figure out why Marcus would hide it from her.
She instinctively glanced at Oliver Scott to the side.
Oliver wanted to avoid Nora's scrutiny, but soon steadied himself. He patted Marcus on the shoulder and said to Nora, "Sis, please don't tell brother-in-law that you slid down from such a height for him, otherwise, he'd scold us for two hours."
