Late at night.
The clouds covered the moon, making the night profoundly dark, with no light in sight, everything was enveloped in dense darkness.
April Thomason woke up on the dot after two hours of sleep, hearing the creak of the door opening. She looked up and saw a familiar shadow walk in.
"Found it."
With Nora Scott's low voice, an item was tossed over.
April reached out to catch it.
It was a pair of night vision goggles.
Since there was no moonlight at night and no lights in the village, turning on a flashlight was like blatantly announcing "I'm here", so they relied on equipment or delayed timing. Luckily, Nora discovered night vision goggles on the list of items Pedro Langley made for her, so with a hopeful heart, she went to check the car, and unexpectedly found them.
"Your husband really prepared thoroughly for you," April remarked.
Nora raised an eyebrow, "He's meticulous."
April felt a pang of annoyance.
