Among the stars, ships slowly docked, watching over this place.
This dimension was a training ground, and its connections with other dimensions had been strictly severed. Normally, a human had no way to find this dimension. After all, this dimension required two Big Dipper coordinates from the human world to locate.
Although the forces here were relatively harmonious with each other, they were, whatever else, powers preparing for war, and naturally they didn't want other life disturbing them. So this blockade had been specifically created by the "Great Leader" whom they'd invited.
The level of secrecy here was extremely high!
So whether it was the previous group of people or the later one, in truth both were very dangerous to them.
The earlier one had suddenly appeared in this dimension of theirs and charged around the battlefield as conspicuously as could be, yet hadn't been affected in the slightest, nor had they made any contact with them.
The later one had appeared with great fanfare, made no attempt to dodge, and directly issued a challenge on all channels.
When the later group had spoken up, naming names and asking to see "Drytron," it had startled Drytron's leader, who'd thought some enemy from somewhere had come.
Fortunately, they'd now confirmed that the visitors were either accidental arrivals or challenging human warriors, which had let them relax a little.
But even so, coming to a place like this to "challenge" was a bit outrageous.
Whatever the case, they still selected two opponents based on the duelists' "tier."
They were quite curious what kind of duel these two odd sets of newcomers would have.
"You take the first move, Yuma." Although Syrus was quite a bit older than Yuma Tsukumo, he was 8 centimeters shorter than Yuma. So the two of them could just barely look each other in the eye on equal footing.
As an experienced duelist, Syrus was a little worried about this kid facing his first "duelist trial" in the spirit world. So he consoled him: "Don't worry. A duel with spirits actually isn't that different from a duel with humans."
"Oh! I get it!" Yuma Tsukumo's face lit up with a brilliant smile. "I've dueled the Fusion army before, I've met spirits!"
"The, the Fusion army?" Syrus's expression became a little unnatural.
Someone who'd actually done battle against the Fusion army?
"My turn! Soar to the sky!" Yuma didn't care about the surroundings at all. On the spot he leapt up, then with a smack summoned a monster in mid-air. "Normal Summon, Goblindbergh!"
"When this card is Summoned, I can Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower monster from my hand!"
"Special Summon, Gagaga Magician!"
A goblin riding a red airplane flew across the sky, offhandedly pulling out a silent magician wearing a mask.
"Then, using Goblindbergh and Gagaga Magician, I construct the Xyz network!"
An enormous pitch-black vortex appeared before him. Watching this scene, Syrus couldn't help slightly glancing sideways.
The two monsters silently transformed into golden light and were pulled into that dark vortex. After a whirl of the vortex, an enormous, cylinder-like mechanical "great sword" slowly flew out from within. After a spinning motion, the sword flung open mechanical wings and transformed into a mighty warrior!
"Number 39: Utopia!"
Number 39: Utopia. Rank 4, LIGHT Attribute, Warrior-Type. ATK 2500. Xyz Materials: 2.
"A Number!" Syrus's expression changed in an instant. "You're actually a Number user! Eh, you look pretty normal, though?"
Syrus had also seen Number users a few times. The way those people were possessed by desire was still reflected in his mind to this day. More importantly, he'd long since learned that back then, the reason his big brother had learned to use Xyz Summoning was because his life had been threatened during a duel against a Number monster, so he'd had no choice but to unleash his own potential.
Now, seeing another Number user, he was of course rather worried.
But he hadn't expected that this Yuma Tsukumo seemed to have no issue at all.
"Ah, he's Utopia, he's my partner!" Yuma explained to Syrus with an easy manner.
"But what he said isn't wrong. Most Number users really are seduced by the Number cards." The Astral being floating beside Yuma nodded affirmatively. "But now half of the Number cards have already been recovered by me. There shouldn't be any major mishaps."
Half!
Syrus and Atticus Rhodes both looked at that glowing spirit in shock together, finding what he said absurd.
Half of the Number cards!
The energy of a single Number card was already unbelievable. No telling how many duelists wanted to obtain one Number card to wildly boost their own dueling energy. And the result was that this person had half of the Number cards?
Of course, this wasn't the important matter. The important matter was that Zane Truesdale still had several Number cards on him!
"Have you seen my big brother!?" Syrus pressed.
His big brother's Number cards wouldn't just vanish into thin air. If this person really had half of the Number cards, then perhaps he'd seen his big brother!
"Eh, big brother? Could it be, Truesdale..." Cathy Katherine noticed something was off.
Could it be that it wasn't a coincidence that his name was Syrus Truesdale, but that he really was the younger brother of that cool big brother, Zane Truesdale?
"Eh? Could it be, are you two humans from the Fusion Dimension?" Yuma Tsukumo belatedly reacted.
Syrus was a bit silent. He didn't know whether he should answer at this point.
If it were Amagi or senior Atticus, they could probably say it calmly. But he was a member of the "Combined Unit." Would this person who'd once dueled the Fusion army...
"That's wonderful!" Yuma excitedly turned to face Syrus and said, "In our dimension, there are a lot of Fusion Dimension people with nowhere to go, no home. Hurry and find an opportunity to take them away!"
"Fusion Dimension people... could it be, you mean the Fusion army?"
"Yes!" Yuma Tsukumo said.
"But they're invaders."
"They're the innocent ones, the ones with no choice but to join the war. There's absolutely no problem! They're all good people! They only had no choice but to join the war!"
"Can that kind of talk come out of their own mouths, too!" Syrus's expression grew very somber, and he loudly retorted, "Invasion is invasion. How could a few words settle the matter!"
"Eh?" Yuma Tsukumo was a bit dazed.
"But they really changed. They even helped a lot of people rebuild their homes. They must have repented."
"If regret were useful, what would we need laws for..." Syrus lowered his brow. "Even if they regret it, my friends can never return to... no."
Back then, everyone in the Combined Unit, those people he'd been close with, though somewhat hostile toward and afraid of other dimensions, had for the most part been ordinary classmates who slacked off with him or joked around and chatted and bragged with him. But because of the Fusion army's invasion of the Xyz Dimension, they'd borne family and personal pressure beyond comparison, had no choice but to leave, and had even given up their original decks.
Those cards were, to this day, still in his hands, and he'd been slow to return them to the people who should have had them.
Because water spilled could never be recovered, and a shattered mirror, however hard one tried, could never be made whole again.
Only...
He shook his head.
Now wasn't the time to grumble about this.
And moreover, at this point, this wasn't a matter of only his friends.
As a member of the Fusion Dimension's diplomatic representation, he couldn't say anything against the rules in front of an Xyz Dimension human, even a kid.
Besides, the Xyz Dimension's diplomatic members didn't seem to have brought this matter up. He also couldn't guarantee whether it might be some evil, malicious Fusion army soldier deceiving an innocent boy from a foreign dimension.
"Yuma." Beside him, Astral saw Syrus's expression and reminded Yuma. "Focus on the duel first."
"Ah, oh!!!" Yuma Tsukumo quickly responded. "Then, I Set 1 card and end my turn!"
End the turn?
Watching this scene, Syrus was a little dumbfounded.
Such... such a plain turn.
He hadn't seen such a plain, plain-vanilla turn back in his own world in a long while.
Or, could it be that Number 39: Utopia had some strong effect?
But before he could ask, the spirit opposite had already begun her operations.
"My turn, draw."
The female-form spirit looked brisk and fiery. Waving the red beam sword in her hand, she drew one card from the Deck. She glanced down at it, then displayed it outright.
"Spell Card, Card Destruction. Both players discard all cards in their hand, then draw the same number of cards."
"Eh, what a shame." Yuma looked at the card in his hand, muttered, stuffed it into the Graveyard, and drew again. The opponent, meanwhile, had also finished drawing at this point.
"Normal Summon, me."
A smaller version of the black Psychic mistress appeared on the field.
Kozmoll Wickedwitch, Level 4, DARK Attribute, Psychic-Type. ATK 1900.
"My effect. Banish this card from the field. From my hand, I Special Summon 1 Level 5 or higher Kozmo monster!"
"Behold, my ride!!!"
"Kozmo Dark Eclipser!"
Rumble, rumble, rumble.
Outside the port, thunderous rumbling sounds rang out. An enormous cosmic warship shaped like a blade slowly rose into the air, accelerated by a purple trail of exhaust flame.
Kozmo Dark Eclipser, Level 9, DARK Attribute, Machine-Type. ATK 3000.
"3000 ATK." Cathy Katherine was a little tense.
But unexpectedly, on the other side, Yuma Tsukumo laughed heartily and pressed his Duel Disk.
"Yuma..." Astral tried to press down on Yuma's hand.
"Open Set card, Trap Card, Bottomless Trap Hole! This card can..."
"Kozmo Dark Eclipser's monster effect. When a Trap Card is activated, banish 1 Kozmo monster from my Graveyard to activate. That activation is negated and destroyed! I banish Kozmo Dark Destroyer from my Graveyard to negate and destroy your Bottomless Trap Hole!"
Before the trap hole even had a chance to appear out of nowhere in cosmic space and drop over the warship, the enormous warship launched many escort ships that fired purple lasers, cleanly obliterating the card.
"Eh?"
Yuma felt a bit of a pang of regret.
Seeing this, Astral didn't blame Yuma. Instead, he nodded, held his chin, and said: "I see. It can resolve a Trap's effect. Then it's fine."
He'd just tried to stop Yuma because he'd figured that with only 3000 ATK, activating the Trap wasn't necessary. Now that this was the case, it made no difference either. It would just be negated in any event.
But...
Was the answer really that?
Wickedwitch turned to look at Gamma Eltanin. Gamma Eltanin flashed a few offhand lights, letting her understand its meaning.
Well then.
"I pay 2000 Life Points. I activate Normal Spell Card, Dimension Fusion." Wickedwitch displayed a card.
The instant this card was shown, every Fusion Dimension person's eyelid twitched. Syrus, in the middle of dueling, cried out even louder: "That's bad."
Spirit Team, LP: 8000 → 6000.
"Dimension Fusion's effect: both players Special Summon as many of their own banished monsters to the field as possible.
The number of my banished monsters is two."
"Uh, I don't." Yuma scratched his head.
"Then I Special Summon myself, and my other warship, Kozmo Dark Destroyer!"
Different from the pitch-black Dark Eclipser, Dark Destroyer was silver-white all over. Bathed in crimson laser fire amid the vast starry sky of the cosmos, it was exceptionally dazzling, exceptionally bright.
Kozmo Dark Destroyer. Level 8, DARK Attribute, Machine-Type. ATK 3000.
"Combined ATK of 7900. Yuma, having only a Utopia on the first move looks a bit dangerous." Astral said to Yuma.
"Uh, I, I know that!" Yuma felt a little put out, but insisted, "Besides, Utopia can detach one Xyz Material to block an attack. It's not that dangerous."
"Dark Destroyer's effect. When this card is Special Summoned, target 1 monster on the field to activate. That monster is destroyed." Wickedwitch waved her crimson beam sword and pointed at Utopia. "I've heard, Number monsters can only be destroyed in battle by Number monsters, right?
But that effect is only a monster effect after all. As long as I use an effect to destroy it, it doesn't matter."
"Eh..." Yuma broke out in cold sweat, looking especially tense.
Previously, when he'd dueled Reginald Kastle, he'd once suffered this lesson. So his opponent thinking of this point didn't surprise him.
But the key point wasn't this.
The key point was that Utopia was the only card on his field!
Dark Destroyer aimed at the mechanical warrior. Its red orbital cannon slowly gathered charge, then launched with a thundering roar!
Crash!!!
The entire Big Dipper Vessel swayed under the tremendous barrage. However, the mechanical warrior still used his own great sword to firmly block the shellfire, refusing to let it land on his master.
After a long while, the warrior dissipated, and the shellfire also slowly faded away.
"What a loyal and righteous warrior. But battle isn't a matter of loyalty and righteousness alone.
Dark Eclipser, direct attack."
"I activate the effect of Bacon Saver in my Graveyard, banish it from the Graveyard to activate. The monster's attack is negated!"
A little black pig flew out from Yuma's Graveyard. Then it violently shook its body, and all the bones inside it were thrown out at once, slamming into Dark Eclipser. This light little blow clearly posed no threat to Dark Eclipser, but it left its controller's head in a daze, unclear what had happened, and so it missed the attack.
Wickedwitch snorted: "Then, Dark Destroyer and I directly attack!"
The ship's cannons boomed again. This time, no one blocked the attack for Yuma. More importantly, perhaps because her training results had been disrupted, Wickedwitch looked extremely furious. She didn't have her "avatar" fight for her, but grabbed her beam sword herself, leapt right in front of Yuma, and swung down at him with two cuts.
Yuma's body was sent flying like a broken rag, bouncing several times across the deck in a row.
Human Team, LP: 8000 → 3100.
"Yuma!?" Syrus was stunned.
Compared to the plummeting Life Points, right now he was more concerned about whether Yuma's body was okay. This was a genuine spirit attack, not a virtual image. After being hit by such a continuous attack, could he still stand?
But contrary to expectations, Yuma sprang back up on the spot with a carp-jump, patted his clothes, and was fine as anything.
Never mind Syrus. Wickedwitch, having struck with a grudge, most clearly knew how vicious and serious her blade cut had been. Yet this human acted like nothing had happened?
"Whew, that hurt..." Yuma patted his chest, speaking his mind plainly.
It really did hurt.
It felt more painful than when he'd been directly attacked by Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon before.
"All right, Dark Wickedwitch, let's continue the duel!"
"Do you not have hatred?" Wickedwitch stared at Yuma Tsukumo.
"Huh?" Yuma paused, then said, "But we were the ones who bothered you first, weren't we? How could I possibly be angry?"
Wickedwitch stared at Yuma for a long time, finally gave a cold snort, sprang backward on the spot, and, through her use of Psychic powers, returned to her original position.
"Set 1 card. End turn."
At this moment, Syrus still hadn't come back to his senses. He looked at Yuma Tsukumo.
"Wh, what is it?" Yuma felt a bit odd being stared at like that.
"Yuma, do you really believe those people can be forgiven?"
"Of course!"
"Then I'll believe you." Syrus hesitated, watching him, wavering, then said firmly: "Actually... actually I'm a representative of the reserve force of the Fusion army, the Combined Unit."
Yuma jerked in shock, body tilting backward.
Cathy Katherine was even more startled, covering her mouth with both hands.
How could it be such a coincidence, running into a Fusion army reserve member in this dimension?
"Now it looks like maybe, just as Amagi says, duelists will slowly meet each other in duels. Not fate, but inevitability."
Amagi?
The people from the Xyz Dimension looked at Hikaru and Atticus Rhodes. The two smiled and greeted them.
Syrus drew a deep breath.
His previous idea had been to completely "sever" from the predecessors, so that the Combined Unit would become a mere hobby club going forward. But the results had always been rather middling.
Come to think of it, how could you "sever" it?
Although few people were in the Combined Unit's current activity building, it was still inherited from Leo Akaba's leadership. Wanting to sever ties, how could ties possibly be severed?
What he really had to do was inherit this "sin," accept reality, and change reality.
It seemed... matters that belonged to himself weren't over yet.
"My turn, draw." Syrus drew a card from his Deck.
He looked at the card in his hand, then at the opponent's field.
Their Life Points were 3100, the opponent's were 6000, and the gap in monsters was also fairly obvious.
But those two Kozmo monsters' effects had already been used.
He calculated quickly in his mind.
Never think Syrus was some ordinary duelist.
Although Syrus wasn't very famous in his own world, that didn't mean he hadn't experienced enough. In the Fusion army incident, he'd chosen to accept his friends' "legacy," chosen to become the "tombstone" and "grave-keeper" of the Combined Unit, waiting for his friends' return. Ever since, his philosophy had been rather direct and had not changed again.
In the Dark World incident, although the main combatant had been Jaden Yuki, the defense of their base over many days couldn't have been done without Syrus's support.
In the Darkness incident, he had even explored the outside world together with Jaden Yuki, seeking spirits invading the human world, and had even once genuinely dueled with Yubel. Even if he'd lost in the end, that didn't mean he was weak, only that he was unable to bear the enemy's strength.
"I activate Spell Card, Enchanted Fitting Room."
"This card can be activated by paying 800 Life Points. Flip the top 4 cards of my Deck. Special Summon any Normal Monsters of Level 3 or lower onto the field, and return the other flipped cards to the Deck."
Syrus flipped over the top 4 cards of his Deck and displayed them to the opponent: "Two Cycroids, one Silver Fang, and one Darkworld Thorn. I Special Summon them."
Anthropomorphic little bicycles quickly arrived on his field, followed by a flower and a wolf.
Human Team, LP: 3100 → 2300.
"What kind of monsters are those? They look so weak." Wickedwitch couldn't help voicing her question.
"Cycroid's Fusion form is Level 5 Pair Cycroid, which can attack directly. Silver Fang can be used to Fusion Summon Flower Wolf." Abruptly, among the spectators, one person spoke up. "Both of these cards are part of Fusion Monsters. Among them, Silver Fang and Darkworld Thorn are also cards from certain members of the Combined Unit. This is the duel of Syrus, representative of the Combined Unit.
Don't underestimate him. And more importantly, don't underestimate Fusion!"
"Thank you very much, Amagi." Syrus scratched the back of his head. Hikaru rarely commented on his classmates because he preferred actual performance. Being praised in front of so many spirits left him genuinely a bit self-conscious. "My dueling doesn't have as much Fusion as yours does...
But whatever the case, this is a matter concerning the Xyz Dimension's rescuer, and my brother. I can't take it lightly. So please watch my duel, spirits!
I activate Spell Card, White Elephant's Gift. Send Silver Fang to the Graveyard and draw 2 cards from the Deck."
"Then, Spell Card, Terraforming. Add 1 Field Spell Card from my Deck to my hand.
I activate Spell Card, Megaroid City!"
On the enormous deck, a towering mechanical city began to rise up out of thin air. The howling wind blew Syrus's purple robe, making him, though not tall, look ever more imposing.
"Megaroid City's effect. Target 1 card on my field other than this card to activate. That card is destroyed, and I add 1 Roid card from my Deck to my hand.
I destroy Darkworld Thorn and add Emergeroid Call from my Deck to my hand."
Syrus looked at the added card, then at his other hand cards. To be honest, he actually didn't want to destroy his friend's monster. But he simply didn't have Hikaru's skill, couldn't manage the ability to run multiple Fusion Monsters, and could only settle for second best like this. But even so, he hadn't abandoned these monsters, still carrying them with him: "Normal Summon, Ambulanceroid."
"Spell Card, Machine Duplication. This card can duplicate a Machine-Type monster with ATK 500 or lower. Selecting Ambulanceroid, I Special Summon as many cards of the same name as possible from my Deck."
"Wooo woooo."
Three mini ambulances flew out from the city and parked in front of Syrus.
"He actually assembled 5 monsters!"
"And their Levels are all 3. Could it be, here it comes, Yuma!"
"It's Xyz, is he going to Xyz Summon!"
Yuma Tsukumo and Astral inexplicably got excited.
Syrus's mouth twitched slightly. He coughed a couple of times and said to them: "Yuma, on the turn Megaroid City's effect is activated, only Fusion Monsters can be Special Summoned from the Extra Deck. Please remember this. Otherwise it might affect you."
"Uh, so that's how it is..."
"But this way, how are a group of low-ATK monsters supposed to deal with a 3000-ATK-tier monster?"
Syrus drew a deep breath, tone firm: "The answer is simple. It's... Fusion!"
"Fusion?" A hint of surprise appeared on Yuma's face.
But what could these 5 monsters possibly fuse into?
"I activate Spell Card, Polymerization!"
Syrus played a Spell Card. An enormous platform appeared on the deck, then split into three branches leading to his field. Five robots quickly ran, met, transformed, and assembled, gradually becoming a machine that grew larger and taller.
"Using 5 monsters on my field to Fuse!"
"The ultimate evolution of the Roid deck!"
"Brother, you have to wait for me."
"My pride!"
"Level 12, Barbaroid, the Ultimate Battle Machine!"
Rumble.
Even more enormous, even more astonishing than the massive Dark Destroyer warship, a mechanical giant slowly flew across the horizon. Amid the howling wind, five small, delicate robots had actually assembled into an unbelievably enormous mechanical colossus!
Barbaroid, the Ultimate Battle Machine. Level 12, EARTH Attribute, Machine-Type. ATK 4000.
"4000 ATK!?" Wickedwitch showed a look of shock.
"4000 ATK... same as Zane's Cyber End Dragon?" Atticus Rhodes couldn't help raising his camera. He carefully aimed at the duelists, picked a good angle, and lightly pressed the shutter. "I really wish Zane could be here to see this."
"Whoa-oh-oh! 4000 ATK! So cool!" Yuma cheered excitedly.
Syrus lightly nodded, then looked at the opponent's field: "Battle. Barbaroid, the Ultimate Battle Machine can attack twice per turn."
"Uh... 4000 ATK and double-attack too?" Wickedwitch felt even more endangered.
"Barbaroid, the Ultimate Battle Machine attacks Kozmo Dark Eclipser. I activate Megaroid City's effect. When my Roid enters battle and damage calculation is performed, send 1 Roid monster from my Deck to the Graveyard to activate. That monster of mine has its ATK and DEF swapped during damage calculation.
I send Kiteroid from my Deck to the Graveyard. Because Barbaroid, the Ultimate Battle Machine's ATK and DEF are both 4000, the battle continues."
"What's the point of suddenly activating an effect like that?" Cathy Katherine couldn't help asking, puzzled.
"It's to send a monster to the Graveyard, right?" Never mind Yuma being young. He'd been through countless battles, dueled through dozens of life-or-death duels, and actually had his own unique, keen understanding of a duel's contents.
The enormous red Roid's battle cannon blasted Dark Eclipser to pieces in a single shot. It counted as a small revenge for Utopia.
Spirit Team, LP: 6000 → 5000.
"When Barbaroid, the Ultimate Battle Machine battle-destroys the opponent's monster, deal 1000 damage to the opponent."
"When Kozmo Dark Eclipser is destroyed by battle or effect and sent to the Graveyard, I can banish it from the Graveyard to activate. Add 1 Kozmo monster of Level 8 or lower from my Deck to my hand." Wickedwitch chuckled softly. "I'm adding a second Dark Destroyer. This way, your tactic ends here. Because my effect can activate on the opponent's turn too.
Just let Dark Destroyer be Special Summoned... what!"
Her eyes went wide as she discovered the banished Dark Eclipser had actually failed to activate its effect!
Syrus couldn't help lightly scratching his cheek with a finger: "Hidden-effect tactics, huh? Just so happens I hadn't said it: the opponent's Effect Monster that Barbaroid, the Ultimate Battle Machine attacks has its effects negated after damage calculation."
"Ugh."
Wickedwitch instantly realized this card's "counter" against her.
The next instant, the mechanical cannon fire had already fallen beside her.
Spirit Team, LP: 5000 → 4000.
"It's not over yet. Barbaroid, the Ultimate Battle Machine can attack twice. Attack Dark Destroyer!"
Rinse and repeat, the second attack!
The shellfire drove the warship back. The shell fragments and debris fell on Wickedwitch's body.
Spirit Team, LP: 4000 → 3000 → 2000.
Syrus looked at his hand and drew a deep breath: "Set 2 cards. End turn."
"Nicely played." Atticus Rhodes put away his camera.
Today's Syrus, while still with an obvious gap between him and Jaden or Hikaru, no longer flinched during a duel. His whole presence was quite steady. Even a spirit inflicting bodily harm could no longer make him afraid. In a sense, he perhaps had to thank Yubel.
"Whoa, so amazing, you brothers are both so amazing." Seeing Syrus turn the situation around with a counter in one turn, Yuma immediately began to praise him.
Although one Wickedwitch hadn't been destroyed, she could only Special Summon "Kozmo" from the hand. That other spirit, both from its appearance and its type, was clearly not the same system as Wickedwitch, and surely couldn't use her effect.
Syrus was slightly dazed.
This was the first time... he'd heard this kind of evaluation from an outsider.
Because in the past, others' praise for him was always: "As expected of Zane Truesdale's little brother. Excellent as ever."
This time, from another dimension, Yuma Tsukumo had said: "You brothers are both so amazing!"
This was... an entirely different feeling.
"Syrus!" Just then, a sudden shout brought him back to his senses.
He quickly looked up, at Hikaru.
"Don't get careless! The duel has just begun!"
The duel has just begun?
These words left the Xyz Dimension trio a bit dazed. But these words made Syrus's back go instantly soaked, his forehead beaded with cold sweat.
The real duel truly had just begun!
He looked at that blue mechanical dragon, which had been silent the whole time.
Their true "target" hadn't even opened its mouth!
"Human, your strength is indeed not bad. But one person cannot defeat two." Wickedwitch chuckled coldly. "The duel warrior's trial is a duel of two, a duel of cooperation.
Your partner didn't leave anything for you.
And now... it's time for you to be reminded again."
"Draw." The mechanical dragon drew a card from its Deck, glanced at its hand, and gave off a series of beep-beeping sounds, looking as if it were quite angry. After a while, it flipped open a Set card: "Open Set card..."
"Cyber Emergency Call!"
Here it comes!
Almost in an instant.
Everyone paid twelve-tenths of their attention.
