"Amazing! Young Master, looks good in everything!"
A meticulously dressed female attendant clapped and exclaimed when she saw An Mo step out of the dressing room.
An Mo was currently dressed in an all-black martial arts attire with brown leather high boots decorated with snow white fur around the top, along with auspicious beasts on its sides and fronts. These designs also subtly complimented the faint gold threading that depicted a dragon on the front of the outer garment he was wearing, as well as the white armguards and headband around his wrists and forehead.
Two strands of his now black hair were untucked from the white headband and were swaying at the sides of his face, while the rest of his hair was wrapped by the headband and gather behind his ears before loosely falling over his shoulder.
Even though the beautiful female attendant had said these exact same words for every outfit he had tried on thus far, her praise wasn't out of politeness, An Mo truly looked good after dressing up.
However, at this moment, An Mo was scratching his cheek with his finger while wearing a force smile on his face. He was simply too embarrassed to say anything. Xai Lin had taken them straight to this city after reaching the Dark Moon Continent to buy him clothes—he wasn't accustomed to seeing so many humans, so he had been quite reserved up until this point. And this female human's excessive praise wasn't helping his situation at all.
Xai Lin, who was wearing a similar outfit as An Mo but was blue with black high boots and black armguards, looked at her Dao Companion up and down before nodding with satisfaction.
"We'll take this one as well. This is the final outfit so just process our payment."
Xai Lin said to the female attendant, who nodded with a smile before replying.
"Then please follow me to the store front, young miss, and young masters."
Su Jin was also with them, and even though he hadn't showered praise onto An Mo, he had thrown up several thumbs up in encouragement. But at this moment, his focus was on the other patrons moving through the store aisles while glancing at the racks filled with varied clothing.
Turning to An Mo, Xai Lin reached her hand out to him while saying.
"You don't have to change; you can just wear these clothes as is."
An Mo, who was about to enter the changing room to take off his clothes, stopped in his tracks, then nodded and walked over to hold Xai Lin's hand.
Seeing this quiet and obedient demeanor from An Mo once again, Xai Lin couldn't help but marvel that her Dao Companion was too cute.
Xai Lin wanted to indulge in this moment before he went back to being overly boisterous, but after resisting the urge to pinch An Mo's freckled cheeks, she turned and followed the female attendant to the front of the story while pulling An Mo along.
While being pulled by Xai Lin, An Mo saw that Su Jin was still distracted and wasn't following them, so he hurriedly grabbed the back of his collar and pulled him along as well.
"Don't stare at people so blatantly; its impolite Little Jin."
An Mo said, as he let go of Su Jin's collar and smooth out the wrinkles he had made.
Su Jin smiled sheepishly—awkwardly pinching his fingers, he apologized.
"Sorry, Big Brother An Mo. I'll be more mindful in the future."
After saying that, Su Jin no longer let his gaze wander. He stepped forward next to An Mo and familiarly wrapped his hand around his forearm.
The female attendant who was walking ahead, happened to turn her head at this moment to see the three together like this.
A flash of curiosity as to what their relationship was crossed her eyes. Her first thought was that they were all siblings, but their appearances were too different—especially that older youth with birthmarks on his face. Also, he and that heroically dressed girl seemed rather intimate, like they were a young couple.
Finally, she concluded they were likely a young couple, and close relatives.
However, these thoughts came and go in the female attendant's mind, as she turned back to face forward. She merely had a slight curiosity due to how outstanding their appearance was. That older youth already had a unique look and temperament, but the young girl was even more stunning.
She had seen the Lu Clan's young miss, who was said to be the most beautiful girl in Three Moons City, but she was outclassed by this girl by more than just a few points. Their looks probably weren't even in the same realm for there to be comparisons.
Look… Beside the customers in the store who had already gawked at her and had their fill, the new ones that were stepping through the store entrance up ahead were acting as if they were witnessing a celestial phenomenon from the way they were gasping with their eyes wide open.
The female attendant's thoughts were rich with emotion, but her professionalism made her focus on the task at hand. She even subtly stepped to the side to slightly block those gazes.
She was a girl with fairly decent looks after all, so she knew how prickly those gazes could be even though none were malicious in nature—just uncomfortable.
Before long, the three were led to the front of the store where there was a long counter spanning a few dozen meters. There were other store attendants behind it, who were serving customers like them.
"Please, wait here for moments young miss and young masters."
Xai Lin nodded in understanding, and with that, the female attendant went behind the counter to the wall. After which, she took out a silver token and placed it against the wall.
An Mo watch with curiosity as the wall flash with golden runic symbols before a door open up in the wall, to which the female attendant walked through. Unable to withstand his curiosity, An Mo finally shed his quiet demeanor and began bombarding Xai Lin with all the accumulated questions he had since coming to this city. Though he did so in low whispers.
Many stores were like this in the cultivation world, and Su Jin had visited stores like this before, so he wasn't as curious. Meanwhile, Xai Lin had read these details in "Heavenly Illusions" in her past life and had also visited more than a few stores during her year-long journey.
On a sidenote, one of the many reasons why "Heavenly Illusions" was so popular in her past life, wasn't only the vivid characters, and familiar tropes in it, but rather these small modern-like details and how those vivid characters and familiar tropes interact, or clash with such a setting.
While Xai Lin was patiently answering An Mo's questions, the female attendant finally returned.
After placing a simple storage bag on the counter, and pushing it across to Xai Lin, she said with a smile.
"All twenty-four sets of outfits are here. Along with the one the young master is currently wearing; the total amount is three thousand five hundred high-grade Spirit Stones. This storage bag is a token of the store's gratitude for your bulk order, so its cost is not calculated in the total amount."
Hearing this, Xai Lin nodded, but just as she was about to speak she paused for a moment before asking.
"Sorry to trouble you, but I wonder if you can prepare two more sets of each clothing?"
Upon hearing this, the female attendant became dazed for a moment while wondering if she had heard wrongly. However, her daze only lasted for a moment before she snapped back to reality.
Smiling broadly, the female attendant nodded like a chicken pecking rice while saying.
"Of course, this is no trouble at all!"
After saying that, the female attendant lost most of her professionalism as she rushed back to the storage room, before coming back looking a bit disheveled.
It was really rare for a customer to purchase a bulk order from them, much less a bulk order with three sets of the same clothes.
The other female and male attendants who were nearby and happened to hear Xai Lin's words, casts envious glares at the female attendant.
They would obtain a five percent commission on each order, and ten percent on bulk orders above ten pieces of outfits. That is to say, this colleague of theirs had just made a fortune that was at least three to four years' worth of their yearly salaries in one order!
Even the other customers were casting sideways looks at Xai Lin and the others, wondering which major power this rich young miss had come from. Judging by her unfamiliar but outstanding appearance, she was definitely from outside of the city.
However, thinking of the newly arrive guests arriving in their city as of late, these gazes were retracted in flash. They did not want to offend the younger generation of some major power, only for the older generation to come looking for trouble later.
