Unless in special circumstances, it's not allowed to use technical means to have a boy just because you want one, or a girl, or even twin boy-girl twins. Otherwise, the world would be chaotic.
But privately, many would slip in money to make it happen.
Xu Lin naturally wouldn't do that, as he's someone who believes in letting things happen naturally.
