"Mason, shall we go back to Country Z?" Aurelia suddenly asked.
Mason abruptly stopped walking.
"What did you say?" Mason asked, "Did I hear incorrectly?"
Thinking it over, Mason felt he must have misheard, smiled and said, "You've just signed the contract, even if you want to go back, it won't be until next year. Do you miss me that much, worried I'll go back to Country Z and leave you here alone? Relax, Adrian Cooper is in charge in Country Z, and Grayson Quinn's health is improving, I've entrusted the special forces to him, so it doesn't matter if I go back or not."
Aurelia furrowed her brow; if you think about it carefully, you'll know that he's just saying these words to reassure and coax her. With the Major General title hanging on him, how could Adrian Cooper let him leave so easily?
If they were really going to let him go, they would have agreed when Mason wanted to retire three years ago.
