Aurelia knew he was doing it on purpose. She glanced at his thick, dark hair that had come closer, resisting the urge to give it a touch, and casually said, "Barely passed."
"I didn't ask about your performance," Mason Nightshade said.
"Then what are you asking?" Aurelia asked curiously.
"I was asking..." Mason drew out his words, "How was my kiss just now? Did it make your heart race?"
Thinking about that kiss, Aurelia furrowed her brow. "How's your arm?"
Mason had genuinely helped block something for her just now.
"Why were you so reckless? I had cushions placed behind me, a fall wouldn't hurt. What if something happened to your arm underneath?" Aurelia emphasized.
Mason pinched her cheek, "What could happen?"
"Your injury hasn't healed yet..."
Before Aurelia could finish, Mason interrupted her, "Worried about me? Help me change my bandages tonight."
