Just like how Druids dominate animals or mermaids control marine fish, he had acquired a special ability similar to [Wild Animal Control], [Control of Marine Creatures], or [Dominator of Legendary Demon].
Moreover, this ability was not about complete domination over demons but rather "borrowing" their power through the relationship with them.
Only when the demon completely lets down its guard and fully trusts him can he completely harness the full power of controlling the demon.
As long as there's a bit of distrust, this power cannot be fully utilized and will certainly diminish.
And this is almost impossible to achieve.
