"What did my Mr. Seymour ever do to them? Did he beg them to give birth to him? They had him and couldn't even give him the bare minimum of a warm family, then dumped all the blame on him! Are you even human?"
Sophie's words came like a rapid-fire barrage, blasting Henry Chapman so hard he was left speechless. Before he could even organize his thoughts, Sophie's next wave of attacks was already on him.
"Your Chapman Family's daughter died and you feel awful, but overnight, his mom was gone and his dad was gone too—do you think he didn't feel awful? You adults were all drowning in grief; as for him, a little kid just a few years old, what was he feeling? Have you ever tried to understand that?"
