The green train sounded its whistle, and the already slow old train made a big fuss to slow down. The wheels rubbed against the tracks, producing a piercing noise, and the carriage lurched with the deceleration, shaking the compartments and seats, nearly shaking people's skeletons apart.
Ben Shaming opened his eyes helplessly, staring numbly out the window.
Every time he boarded a train, he actually hoped his life would end amid the train's sway, allowing this train journey to have no end... But each time, he still reached the end, forced to wake up from the dream.
