These recordings were indeed secretly made by Mark, the purpose being none other than to use them to blackmail Ben Shaming. It was just that Mark never expected that the ones he got entangled with on those nights, the one truly addicted was himself.
Every time after the two were exhausted from their entanglement, Mark fell into a weary sleep, whereas Ben Shaming remained clear-headed.
Mark finally figured it out, and in his anger, he slammed the table and shouted at Ben Shaming, "Liar, you've fooled me!"
