Exiting his Animagus form, Sean collapsed on the ground. His entire body's skin showed wisps of black patterns—signs of being struck by a Killing Curse. However, due to the White Serpent King's body strength and magical resistance, the Killing Curse's lethal effect had been evaded and infinitely weakened.
"Cough, cough, cough..."
Sean coughed violently, his whole body wracked with spasms.
Though the death magic invading his body hadn't killed him, it severely affected him. Both his body and soul had fallen into extreme weakness.
Fleur held Sean in her arms, her wand pointed at Voldemort and the Death Eaters ahead. Krum blocked the front, having prepared himself for a desperate fight.
"Ahhh..."
A high-pitched bird cry rang out.
"Cough cough... Ptui!" Sean coughed violently twice, spitting out a large mouthful of bloody phlegm, then looked at Voldemort. "Tom, one move behind—you're ultimately too late."
As Sean's words fell, firelight appeared in the air. This light rapidly expanded, transforming into an enormous fire phoenix that spread its wide flame wings, directly obscuring the Dark Mark in the sky. Simultaneously, flame meteors fell from the winged fire phoenix, crashing thunderously onto buildings and ground around the ruined town. Flames swept through, forming whirlpools. Dumbledore and Gavin emerged first from the flame whirlpools, and under their leadership, Order of the Phoenix members' figures appeared from the flame vortexes.
"Is that Voldemort?"
"Indeed, it's Voldemort. He's really ugly, isn't he?"
Moody limped over to Lupin and Sirius, who were speaking. Looking at Voldemort and the Death Eaters below, he bared his teeth in a fierce grin.
"I see quite a few old friends. This time they can't escape punishment! Avada Kedavra!"
The moment his words ended, Moody pulled his wand from his cane and cast at a Death Eater—he immediately used the Killing Curse.
Moody's Killing Curse opened the great battle between Death Eaters and the Order of the Phoenix. Both sides used Apparition, transforming into white mist and black smoke flying through the air, occasionally revealing themselves to cast spells at each other.
Gavin instantly appeared beside Sean, taking him from Fleur's arms, his face showing unprecedented anger. He said quietly, "You never told me you'd joined the Order of the Phoenix!"
"I had my own plan, Grandfather."
"Your plan was to face Voldemort alone and nearly die from a Killing Curse?"
"I'm still… cough cough... still fine, aren't I?"
Without another word, Gavin told Sean, "Stop talking. Leave the rest to us. First drink this."
Looking at the potion Gavin handed over, Sean readily drank it, then whispered, "Grandfather, I initially used spiritual sight ability in battle. Without spiritual sight's assistance, I couldn't see Voldemort's and those Death Eaters' magic trajectories to evade in advance. Otherwise, I might have been eliminated before you arrived."
As Sean said, during the previous battle, he could only manage so well because, through spiritual sight, he saw through most of Voldemort's and the Death Eaters' magic trajectories in advance, calmly dodging and responding. Unfortunately, his spiritual sight had only just awakened and hadn't displayed its true effect.
"Miss Delacour and Mr. Krum, please help me watch over Sean."
Hearing Gavin's words, Fleur and Krum immediately nodded, protecting Sean behind them.
Gavin's right hand lightly opened. His luxuriously decorated wand shot from his sleeve, falling into his hand. Gripping the platinum handle that perfectly fit his palm's curve, Gavin gently waved his slender black wand. A gale swept up, gathering at Gavin's wand tip. Following his wand's movement, a slightly greenish wind blade descended from above like a divine sword, striking directly down at Voldemort.
Elros Blade!
"Ha..."
Seeing Gavin's magic strike, Voldemort opened his mouth and spewed Fiendfyre. Under his wand's spinning motion, it rapidly wound around the Elros Blade spell and burned backward, spreading along the magic. Fire borrowed wind's momentum, reversing upward—in the blink of an eye, it had reached Gavin.
If it were anyone else, they would have fallen to the Fiendfyre by now. But Gavin acted as if he'd prepared long ago. The instant the Fiendfyre reached him, with a wave of his wand, a black shadow appeared before him. This black shadow was like an infinite pocket, swallowing all the Fiendfyre.
Waving his wand again, the shadow pocket closed and disappeared.
Gavin walked forward step by step. With each step, he shot a spell at Voldemort—either Disarming Charm, Stunning Spell, or Petrification Curse—all relatively ordinary spells taught at Hogwarts. But cast by Gavin, each spell was perfectly timed, either shooting from Voldemort's blind spot or hitting exactly where Voldemort's wand movements were most awkward.
It was as if Voldemort's responses and movements had been completely foreseen by Gavin.
"Petty tricks, Gavin Bulstrode. Since you want to stand up for Sean Bulstrode, I'll show you that the great Voldemort is beyond your comparison!"
Boom!
Voldemort suddenly extended both arms. Endless black smoke surged out, transforming into countless skulls sweeping in all directions.
Seeing this, Gavin's form flashed—he actively rushed into that endless black smoke. At this moment, Dumbledore finally drew his wand and stepped forward, his form instantly advancing, also actively entering the black smoke.
Sean's eyes flickered with white halos. He'd clearly seen Dumbledore's and Gavin's movements just now—a technique of continuously and rapidly using Apparition. Borrowing Apparition's space-crossing effect, they avoided Voldemort's Smoke Rope Curse attacks. A magic used for wizard travel had been employed by Gavin and Dumbledore as defensive magic, nearly establishing invincibility. Such magical mastery was beyond what Sean could grasp in a short time. Even Sean could only marvel.
