Chapter 367 - Red the Human - Part 6

Red the Human - Part 6

"The Grand Tribunal shall judge these infamous maids for their countless crimes against the dignity of all dragons!" Red roared as he looked at everyone present, who, for some strange reason, seemed to be members of that bizarre tribunal that not even they themselves understood what the hell it was about.

Silence.

Draco and the others slowly turned to Harry, waiting for an explanation that, of course, Harry couldn't give because he himself had no idea what the hell this idiot was talking about.

Besides, Harry decided that, for the sake of his dignity, it was better not to return their stares.

...

Perfect. While the council of war deliberated, the trial could continue.

...

"Do not flee, infamous maids of the future Supreme Kingdom!"

Astoria couldn't help taking a step back.

Luna, on the other hand, calmly raised a hand.

"We're not running away," she said in a calm tone.

Red narrowed his eyes.

"Exactly what a guilty maid would say before attempting to escape!"

Harry let out a long sigh.

"Just help me catch this idiot," he said before his dignity as this foolish dragon's owner was tarnished even further every time Red opened his mouth. At least in his dragon form, nobody could hear what he was saying while acting like a foolish chaotic dragon.

Draco let out a sigh and was the first to move.

With a swift motion of his wand, a large number of golden coins spilled out, instantly surrounding him.

Then he gently moved his other hand.

The gold turned into liquid gold, merging together as it rushed toward Red.

Several golden chains formed from different directions, surrounding Red with astonishing speed.

Red watched them approach with interest.

...

Young Master's Right-Hand Ceremonial Chains?

How strange.

The blond subject seemed to have mistaken the hero for the criminals.

What a regrettable tactical error.

...

Red shook his head as he looked at Draco in disappointment, which, for some reason, irritated Draco for a brief moment. He lightly moved his fingers, and the chains sped up even more, closing around the foolish human dragon.

For an instant, Red appeared to be completely immobilized.

Then red magic slowly spread through the metal.

The chains began bending and coming apart effortlessly, as though they had completely lost the power Draco had used to shape them before twisting.

They transformed into dozens of golden snakes, which shot off in every direction.

Especially toward Tommy, who had been resting against a nearby fire hydrant.

"What the...?"

Tommy, not expecting to become collateral damage, barely had time to react.

The snakes wrapped around him completely before pinning him to the ground, still carrying the full weight of the gold.

"Ufff..." Tommy groaned as he was crushed beneath who knew how many kilos of gold in the form of snakes now writhing over him.

Red tilted his head with interest, apparently realizing he had just unconsciously used the power of Chaos Magic, and even looked at his own fingers for a moment.

Billy and Harry moved as well.

Billy raised both hands.

"Hold."

He spoke as his Chaos Magic responded to his voice, and dozens of giant stone hands burst from the ground, trying to seize Red's arms and legs.

"So the Second Young Master also wishes to test my power?" Red said excitedly as he watched Billy use Chaos Magic to try to capture him.

Immediately, Red transformed back into red mist, and the hands grasped nothing but empty air.

Harry, who had apparently been waiting for this, moved both hands in a circular motion.

Suddenly, all the glass around them transformed into sand and flew toward the red mist that was now Red, surrounding him almost instantly.

Daphne acted as well. Holding her wand while softly murmuring something, a layer of frost began spreading beneath her feet.

Then she opened her eyes and pointed at Red and the sphere of sand preventing his advance.

"Freeze!" she shouted.

The moment the spell struck the sand, it rapidly froze, forming an enormous sphere of ice with the red mist trapped at its center.

But at the same time, laughter echoed throughout the area.

"HAHAHAHAHA! Not even the cruelest winter can freeze the pride of a noble dragon!"

Inside the frozen sphere, Red regained his form, opened his mouth, and unleashed an enormous crimson torrent of fire in every direction.

The flames melted through the entire wall almost instantly.

But that wasn't all.

They struck the surrounding buildings and began melting them almost on contact.

"Idiot!" Harry shouted as his body transformed into red mist, rushing toward Fleur, Astoria, and Luna to grab them and pull them away from the attack.

He also grabbed Tommy, who was still struggling to free himself from the golden snakes.

The others also moved quickly to get away from the flames, which were so hot they could feel them burning their skin even from a distance.

When Red finally stopped breathing fire—which might have been even hotter than the sun itself—the surrounding area had been melted and burned into a level of destruction even he hadn't anticipated, leaving him looking genuinely surprised.

Daphne, who had thrown herself to the ground for cover, lifted her head and looked around.

Every shop was now completely ruined.

"...Well. That was a bit excessive," she said.

While Red stared in fascination at his new power, Hermione noticed it and seized the opportunity.

Her wand immediately performed several quick movements.

The pavement began to rise.

Massive stone pillars surrounded Red.

The nearby lampposts bent until they formed a genuine metal cage made entirely through Transfiguration.

Unfortunately, it was useless against someone capable of turning his body into mist.

The red cloud calmly drifted through the bars before reappearing on the other side.

Harry was already waiting there with a truly furious look.

He simply extended one hand to catch him.

Red's eyes lit up when he saw his master, looking genuinely excited.

But this supposed trial still seemed to be ongoing.

So Red spun with impossible agility.

He slipped beneath Harry's arm, partially transforming into mist.

Then immediately reappeared behind him, running away with a foolish grin on his face.

Harry remained perfectly still for a moment.

What an unpleasant feeling.

That way of moving.

That ease with which he escaped just before being caught.

That constant feeling that his opponent was always half a step ahead.

"...So this is what it feels like to fight me," he said, perhaps feeling the karma of his own power.

Red appeared on the other side of the street with an enormous grin.

"The future First General of the Supreme Kingdom shall never be captured by such simple tactics!"

Harry stared at him.

"You're not a general of anything."

"I will be once you conquer the world!"

"I already told you! What the hell are you even talking about?!" Harry shouted, completely losing his mind at this point over all the nonsense Red kept spouting.

At this point, everyone else present couldn't help finding the whole thing a little amusing.

...

How humble.

Even now, he continued to hide his true ambitions.

Without a doubt, that was an indispensable quality for a great King.

...

"That is exactly what a patient future Supreme King would say."

Harry remained completely silent.

Even in the middle of the entire chase, Daphne quietly muttered,

"...He has a point."

Harry slowly turned his head toward her.

At this point, Chaos Magic could be seen beginning to flow through Harry's body, making it obvious that he was genuinely annoyed.

"I didn't say anything," Daphne added immediately.

"Good," Harry said, finally losing his patience as he let Chaos Magic surge throughout his body and his eyes turned crimson.

Since the Ministry was probably already on its way here with every Auror they had after sensing all this unleashed magic, there was no longer any reason to hold back.

The ground beneath him began to crack and slowly rise.

Even the buildings that had been burned earlier started trembling slightly, as if they were about to transform into something.

Red's eyes lit up with excitement as he saw his master finally getting serious.

As though the final trial were about to begin.

But before anything else could happen—which would almost certainly get Harry into even more trouble than he already would be once his mother found out...

Then...

"Red."

Fleur's voice echoed across the entire street.

Both Red and Harry froze instantly and turned toward Fleur, Luna, and Astoria.

...

The future Queen?

...

Red thought as he slowly turned around.

Fleur had stepped forward.

She still looked confused.

But she also looked quite serious.

She stared directly into his eyes.

"Stay still."

Red gazed at Fleur for several long moments and remained perfectly motionless.

"As you command, future Queen."

A long, heavy silence instantly settled over the area.

Harry.

Billy.

Hermione.

Tommy.

Draco.

Daphne.

Luna and Astoria.

Every single one of them stood completely frozen, staring at the scene.

Harry was the first to react, and the expression on his face was anything but friendly as he watched his idiotic dragon listen more obediently to someone else than to his own master.

Harry slowly ran his tongue along the inside of his cheek and walked toward Red with genuinely irritated steps.

Without saying another word, he yanked the crimson wand from Red's belt.

...

Eh?

Red slowly lowered his gaze.

Then looked back at Harry.

Then looked at his waist again.

...

The wand!

While I was obeying a direct order from the future Queen!

Young Master took advantage of the opportunity to snatch it away!

Red's eyes flew wide open.

"AN AMBUSH!!!"

Harry simply raised the wand.

"No."

"A VILE AND RUTHLESS STRATEGY WORTHY OF THE GREATEST VILLAIN OF THE DARK KINGDOM!!!"

Harry let out a tired sigh.

"Thanks," he said through clenched teeth, struggling not to turn this stupid lizard into something else entirely.

The red magic surrounding Red's body slowly began to fade.

His armor started falling apart.

His hair turned back into little flames.

And a second later...

The young man disappeared.

In his place, the little red dragon fell back onto the ground.

He immediately began flapping his wings while roaring indignantly.

"GRAAAAAAA!!"

...

Treacherous Young Master!

To exploit a royal command in order to defeat your most loyal general!

Magnificent!

What a ruthless strategy!

You shall most certainly conquer the world someday!

...

No one understood absolutely anything as they watched the foolish dragon throw himself onto the ground and expose his belly to Harry, just as he always did whenever he got into trouble.

Except that, for some reason, Harry could now understand every single one of Red's thoughts, something that until now only his mother had seemed capable of doing.

Harry closed his eyes, realizing that didn't make him happy in the slightest at the moment.

"...I think he really did lose his mind a little after all," Tommy said as he watched Red return to his original form and immediately behave exactly as usual.

"...Are you sure? I think... he's exactly the same," Billy couldn't help saying as he watched Red rolling around in front of Harry, even though he couldn't hear him the way Harry and his mother could.

Luna smiled.

"It's the same Red," she said.

"He can just say everything out loud now," she added.

Harry let out a long sigh, because he could still hear Red's ridiculously exaggerated monologue inside his head.

"...Yeah. I guess he was always like this from the very beginning," he muttered.

Then...

Pop.

Pop.

Pop.

Numerous Apparitions began echoing from several streets away.

Harry immediately lifted his head.

The others did the same.

The Aurors had finally arrived.

"Reparo!" Harry shouted at once before putting his wand away again, this time making absolutely sure he wouldn't lose it or leave it lying around anywhere else.

Then he grabbed Red by the scruff of the neck, lifting him up like a very, very troublesome kitten.

Harry looked at the rest.

"...Run."

Nobody needed to hear it twice.

Everyone sprinted toward the house-elves, who immediately Disapparated together with their masters before they could be caught and dragged into the Ministry's interrogation rooms.

And so, one of the greatest disasters the magical world had ever faced finally came to an end—one that had nearly exposed the existence of magic and caused endless problems for the Minister, which, rather ironically, ended up helping quite a bit by preventing him from interfering with many of the plans the adults had in motion.

And fortunately, Red was simply far too stupid to understand the kind of power he had held in his hands.
