It seemed that every time he had any contact with a woman, Ning Chu would put on that same wary, worried expression.
As they walked toward the basketball court, the cool morning breeze blowing against them, Wen Yang glanced thoughtfully at Ning Chu beside him.
He was increasingly convinced that Ning Chu's strange attempts to keep him in line weren't really because he was worried about him getting into danger or being deceived by women.
It was more like a jealous young girl, afraid that he might actually find himself a girlfriend.
Otherwise, Ning Chu wouldn't get so nervous whenever he happened to have a strand of some girl's hair on him, or her scent lingering on his clothes.
"Why are you staring at me?" Ning Chu yawned and shot him a glance. "I just happened to want to exercise more too. I heard playing basketball can even help you grow taller."
"Yeah. Supposedly, it can if you're still growing."
"Then there's no problem~"
They hadn't even walked a hundred meters before turning a corner and arriving at the basketball court.
From a distance, Ning Chu spotted the girl practicing her shots.
The relaxed expression he had been pretending to wear immediately became much more tense. His mind raced as he tried to figure out how to discourage Wen Yang from getting involved with Shan Shan.
If only he could find evidence that Shan Shan had dated a whole bunch of guys…
Following Wen Yang onto the court, Ning Chu saw that Shan Shan immediately noticed them. She put down the basketball and jogged over.
As she ran, her chest bounced noticeably. Beneath her loose tank top, pale skin occasionally came into view.
Wen Yang's eyes went wide. He quickly and awkwardly looked away, rubbing the tip of his nose as his face began to redden.
Such a hopeless little virgin~
Ning Chu muttered to himself as he gave Shan Shan a quick once-over, sneering inwardly.
Seriously? This woman wasn't even trying to hide it anymore!
Who comes out to play basketball wearing nothing but a tank top without even putting on a bra? Wasn't all that bouncing uncomfortable?
"Why did you bring someone else?" Shan Shan slowed down as she approached them. She looked at Ning Chu with some hesitation, then pouted and complained in a coquettish tone, "I normally charge people to teach them basketball, you know. And you brought someone else along to freeload?"
Wen Yang looked even more embarrassed and stammered, not knowing how to explain.
"It's fine. I just woke up too early and got bored sitting in the dorm." Ning Chu had completely lost any desire to play basketball. He took the initiative to walk toward the side of the court and gave Wen Yang a meaningful look.
In a low voice, he said, "Come here. I need to talk to you."
But after walking several meters and turning around, Ning Chu saw Wen Yang still standing there with a foolish grin on his face, his attention completely captured by those big, pale "basketballs."
"…"
Was this little virgin's self-control really this terrible?
Hadn't he noticed anything strange yet?!
This woman was obviously trying to seduce him!
"So, just the two of us? I'll teach you how to shoot first."
"You have to learn how to shoot too?" Wen Yang stared blankly, his mind in complete disarray as his eyes wandered everywhere but where they should.

Shan Shan paused, then walked forward with a dissatisfied expression.
"Don't move. Let me adjust you a little. The correct shooting posture can improve your accuracy~"
The sweet scent of the girl approaching him, the way her chest moved with each step, and her firm, shapely thighs all relentlessly teased the nerves of poor, inexperienced Wen Yang.
Ning Chu couldn't take it anymore.
Fine, seduce him if you want!
But could you at least stop touching him?!
At this rate, were they planning to make out right on the basketball court?!
He anxiously prepared to interrupt whatever was happening between Wen Yang and Shan Shan, but just as he was about to act, Wen Yang suddenly backed away several steps, his face bright red as he repeatedly shook his head.
"I-I'm going to get some breakfast first. Suddenly, I'm really hungry…"
"Huh?"
Wen Yang continued backing away, putting distance between himself and Shan Shan. Completely flustered, he practically fled.
"I'll come back after I eat!"
As he escaped the basketball court, he didn't forget to call out to Ning Chu.
"Come on! Let's go get breakfast!"
"What?"
Ning Chu stood there with a completely bewildered expression before jogging after Wen Yang.
He had thought this guy's brain had already been completely taken over by his hormones.
And yet he suddenly came to his senses?
After reaching a secluded corner outside the basketball court, Wen Yang finally let out a long breath. His breathing was still somewhat hurried, and his mind remained a complete mess after being so thoroughly flustered.
"What's wrong? You're not going to play basketball with your beautiful coach anymore?" Ning Chu's gloomy voice drifted over from behind him.
Wen Yang froze for a moment. He turned around and saw Ning Chu's dark expression, which looked almost jealous, and immediately lost his confidence.
"I… it's not…"
"Not what?"
"She seemed perfectly normal last night!" Wen Yang complained about that awful woman. "Could it be that she deliberately told me the lessons were free, but after two sessions she was going to force me to pay?"
"???"
I thought you'd realized she was trying to seduce you!
But all you can think about is money?!
"If you hadn't been there, I really might have fallen for it…"
Wen Yang sighed. If Ning Chu's resentful gaze hadn't been so piercing from behind him, and if that guilty feeling hadn't made him suspicious, he might well have fallen into her gentle trap.
"She was obviously trying to seduce you! I refuse to believe she wasn't wearing anything underneath when you played basketball with her last night."
"Seduce me…"
Wen Yang paused, looking slightly tempted.
Ning Chu angrily kicked him. "Stop thinking about it! What if it's some kind of honey trap?"
"That's true!"
Ning Chu was both indignant and, somewhat unwillingly, envious as he complained, "I told you already—the women outside are all bad! What decent girl dresses that provocatively and deliberately tries to seduce you?"
"She looked pretty decent yesterday…"
Ning Chu rubbed the bridge of his nose in frustration. Fortunately, that shameless vixen had been unable to keep up the innocent-girl act and had been too eager to devour Wen Yang whole. If she had continued pretending to be sweet and innocent while flirting with him, Ning Chu showing up in person today might not have made much difference.
But now he was going to be punished again…
No longer pretending to be in high spirits, Ning Chu sighed worriedly as they headed to the university cafeteria.
Wen Yang remained silent and, as usual, took the initiative to get breakfast for Ning Chu.
Ning Chu's breakfast consisted of a meat bun, soy milk, and a beef pancake, while Wen Yang had plain rice porridge with pickled mustard greens.
"How much was it? I'll transfer the money to you later."
"No need, right?"
"I've already sent it." Ning Chu directly transferred ten yuan to Wen Yang's account, then looked up and asked, "I've noticed that lately… you seem to really want to get yourself a girlfriend."
Wen Yang lowered his head and drank his porridge, guiltily answering, "Yeah."
It was because he had dreamed about Ning Chu so many times. He was becoming increasingly convinced that he needed the comfort of a girlfriend; otherwise, Ning Chu was going to turn him gay sooner or later.
After a brief pause, he added, "You never said I wasn't allowed to get a girlfriend… If you won't even let me date, isn't that going a little too far?"

"You're in college right now. You took out loans to attend university, and you're using that time to look for a girlfriend?"
Wen Yang was scolded so thoroughly that he couldn't even raise his head, yet he still stubbornly protested:
"Why do you care so much about what I do…?"
Ning Chu froze.
He stared at Wen Yang in disbelief, unable to think of anything to say for quite a while.
