Knowing such a rare opportunity had presented itself, Daniel had no intention of letting it slip away.
Conquering through overwhelming force was certainly possible.
However, if he could save an entire world that had already lost all hope, then earning their trust would become infinitely easier.
After all, there was a vast difference between a conqueror who destroyed civilizations and a ruler who saved them from extinction.
The latter inspired loyalty.
The former only inspired fear.
Daniel slowly folded his arms as the wind brushed against his clothes.
His golden eyes remained fixed upon the distant kingdom standing against the endless tide of Ututh.
"Mika."
"Erika."
The moment their names left his mouth, space beside him rippled gently.
Two familiar figures stepped out from the distortion.
"I'm right here, my lucky charm."
Mika smiled warmly as she appeared beside him, her silver hair dancing gracefully in the wind.
