The proctor announced in a deep voice, "The finals are about to begin. Look at the screen for your matchups."
Everyone's eyes turned to the large screen hanging above the stadium. The names flickered rapidly before settling into place.
Match 1: Yuki vs. Akatsuchi
Match 2: Kazuki vs. Roman
Match 3: Kurotsuchi vs. Akira
Match 4: Ryuma vs. Rayden
Kazuki leaned against the railing and looked at the screen. "Looks like you're up first, Yuki," he said, turning towards her.
"Good luck," Ryuma said with a nod.
"You've got this." Kazuki said and raised his fist for a fist bump.
Yuki smiled and bumped her fist to Kazuki's. "I know," she said.
"Good luck out there," Akari said.
She made her way down to the arena floor, where Akatsuchi was already waiting, looking confident. They took their positions, and the proctor raised his hand between them.
"First match, begin!"
Akatsuchi started making some hand signs from a single hand when Yuki suddenly appeared in front of him, her fist inches away from him.
His missing arm turned into a stone fist and clashed with Yuki's.
The stone fist shattered, and Akatsuchi was pushed back a few feet.
Akatsuchi glanced up at Yuki, who was in the air and about to kick him in the head when he dodged at the last second. The kick struck the ground, causing big cracks to appear and the ground to shake.
Akatsuchi got just enough time to make some hand signs.
'Earth Style: Iron Skin Jutsu.'
Yuki appeared in front of him and punched, Akatsuchi blocked it with his arms. He was pushed back a little by the impact but didn't take any damage.
She was a bit shocked, she then delivered a series of punches on Akatsuchi, which caused him to push back but it didn't cause much damage.
Akatsuchi then punched Yuki with all his power, she infused chakra in her arm to try to absorb the impact, but she was sent flying back into the wall.
The audience started cheering. Kazuki was practically pushing the railing. He thought, 'What the hell? He has mastered this jutsu almost at the same level as Kazuzu, it's still weaker, but improving this much in just a month?"
Ryuma was trying to stop Kazuki from jumping into the stadium. The proctor was about to announce Akatsuchi the winner when Yuki stood up. She was covered in bruises. She thought, 'When did I get so weak? I'm the heir of the Senju clan, it doesn't suit me to rely on my teammates in every single battle. Did I slack off too much?.... No, I'm not weak and I'll show them."
Yuki made some quick hand signs.
'Earth Release: Gravel'
The ground around Akatsuchi rose up and bound him.
"What a childish trick. I can easily break this." Akatsuchi said.
Yuki infused more chakra in the jutsu to make it more durable.
He tried to break free from the earth holding him, but his efforts proved futile as he wasn't able to break out.
Yuki made some more hand signs.
"Earth Release: Stone Spikes." Yuki slammed her palm on the ground.
Several spikes came out of the ground to impale Akatsuchi but were shattered making contact with his skin.
Yuki made some more hand signs.
"Water Release: Drilling water bullets."
Several spinning water bullets were shot towards Akatsuchi.
The bullets made contact with his body and nothing happened, but after a few rounds of firing, the bullets managed to pierce the iron skin.
Blood started to come out of Akatsuchi's body as he started screamed loudly, the audience was watching all this in dread, but Yuki didn't stop firing.
It was when Akatsuchi had fainted due to the pain that Yuki stopped.
The proctor was in shock, his eyes widened, he hesitated a bit before saying, "Th- The winner of the first round is Yuki Senju."
The crowd was silent, there was no applause. Yuki walked through the tunnel exit of the stadium where Kazuki was already there for his match.
Kazuki smiled and said, "Nice match. You were amazing."
Yuki said, "Thanks and good luck for your match and don't lose before fighting me."
Kazuki nodded and walked through the entrance, his opponent also entered through the opposite entrance. It was a 14-15 year old boy carrying a sword.
"Match Two, Kazuki vs Roman." The announcer announced, "Begin!
Kazuki unsheathed his sword, immediately clashing it with Roman's. Their swords clashed for a few seconds, Kazuki was pushing him back with each hit. Kazuki suddenly jumped back.
'Can he use chakra flow? Well, let's see.' Kazuki thought as he coated his sword with fire chakra flow and charged at Roman. Their swords clashed, and Kazuki's blade melted Roman's sword like butter and broke it into two pieces.
Kazuki's sword was about to reach Roman's neck when he said, "I give up."
Kazuki paused mid-slash and sheathed his blade. He said, "Smart decision."
The announcer shouted, "The winner of the second round is Kazuki Uchiha."
The crowd erupted in cheers, applauding loudly.
Kazuki walked through the entrance and came across a Kumo Genin whose match was next.
Kazuki tried to sense his chakra and was shocked because the Kumo Genin's chakra was even more than his own.
He thought, 'I'm not sure why, but I'm having a bad feeling about him and why's he wearing a mask?'
Both competitors arrived in the arena.
"Match Three: Kurotsuchi vs Akira. Begin!"
