Ashley sat quietly in the corner of the room, staring into space with a deeply troubled expression. 🤔

"What did she mean by that?"
She replayed Noel's words in her head.
"Aren't you Mr. King's mate? Same to you."
Ashley: 😵💫
"What does THAT EVEN MEAN?!"
Just then, Elda walked into the room.
Elda: 😐
"It's because Aaron is an Omega."
Ashley: 😶
"Huh?"
Elda calmly sat down beside her.
Elda: 😑
"An Omega wouldn't let an Alpha stay with another Omega unless he had a huge plan."
Ashley slowly turned her head.
Ashley: 😳
"…"
Elda:
"Think about it. Noel brought Adam here, Aaron immediately assigned you to look after him, and then Noel told you that you couldn't escape."
She paused.
Elda: 😐
"Something is definitely going on."
Ashley: 😱
"WAIT—ARE YOU SAYING NOEL HAS A PLAN?!"
Elda:
"I'm saying she probably does."
Ashley: 😭
"WHY DIDN'T ANYONE WARN ME THAT THIS WOMAN WAS DANGEROUS?!"
Elda stared at her.
Elda: 😑
"We've known her for barely a day."
Ashley:

Meanwhile… Aaron's Side 🥀
Aaron hadn't slept all night.
He sat at his desk, staring at absolutely nothing while his mind ran through one question after another.
Aaron's Thoughts:
(Why was Noel dragged here with me?)
(Why don't we get shocked when we touch each other after coming here?)
(Is Adam really my long-lost brother?)
(Did Ashley make this whole plan just to spy on me?)
(And why did Adam write all those weird things in the history book?)
He rubbed his forehead.
Aaron: 😩
"Man… this is so confusing."
He glanced toward the window.
The sun was already shining.
A new day had begun.
And unfortunately for Noel, that meant one thing.
TRAINING.
Aaron stood up and walked toward Ashley's room, where Noel had been allowed to sleep for the night.
He opened the door quietly.
Inside, Noel was sleeping peacefully, wrapped in a blanket like a burrito. 😴
Aaron stared at her.
For a few seconds, he said nothing.
Aaron: 😤
"This girl causes all the trouble… and still sleeps like a baby."
Noel shifted slightly.
Noel: 😴
"Mmm… five more minutes…"
Aaron's eyebrow twitched.
Aaron: 😑
"Ms. Noel. Wake up. It's training time."
Noel: 😴
"Five… more… minutes…"
Aaron:
"You're going to regret that."
Noel pulled the blanket over her head.
Noel:
"Tell the King I'm dead."
Aaron stared at the blanket.
Aaron: 😐
"Interesting. I'll inform him."
He calmly raised his hand.
A bucket appeared above Noel's bed, held in place by magic.
Aaron tilted his head.
Aaron:
"Good morning, Ms. Noel."
SPLASH! 💦
Noel: 😱
"AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!"
She shot upright so quickly that the blanket flew across the room.
Noel:
"WHO DIED?! IS THE PALACE FLOODING?! DID THE KING DECLARE WAR ON WATER?!"
Aaron stood beside the bed with the most innocent expression imaginable.
Aaron: 😐
"Good morning."
Noel slowly turned toward him.
Water dripped from her hair.
Her clothes were soaked.
Her soul had temporarily left her body.
Noel: 😶
"…Your Majesty."
Aaron:
"Yes?"
Noel: 😤
"I HOPE YOU HAVE A VERY INTERESTING DAY."
Aaron: 😐
"Thank you. Now get ready for training."
He turned to leave.
Noel: 😱
"WAIT! YOU CAN'T JUST ASSASSINATE ME WITH WATER AND WALK AWAY!"
Aaron:
"You're alive, aren't you?"
Noel:
"PHYSICALLY, YES! EMOTIONALLY, I'M FILING A COMPLAINT!"
Aaron left the room.
A moment later, his voice came from the corridor.
Aaron:
"Ten minutes."
Noel: 😭
"TEN MINUTES?! I NEED TEN YEARS TO RECOVER FROM THIS BETRAYAL!"

Back in Ashley's Room… 😶
While Noel's screams echoed through the palace, Ashley and Elda were still discussing the situation.
Ashley: 😑
"What do you mean?"
Elda:
"You're an Alpha… and he's an Omega."
Ashley froze.
Her eyes slowly widened.
Ashley: 😳
"WHAT?!"
She turned her head toward the bed.
Adam was still sleeping peacefully, completely unaware that two powerful women were standing nearby discussing his secondary gender.
Ashley's Thoughts: 🙏
(God… please save me.)
(I'm supposed to protect him, right?)
(But what if he wakes up and screams?)
(What if he thinks I'm dangerous?)
(WHAT IF HE THINKS I'M GOING TO KIDNAP HIM?!) 😭

"Ashley."
Ashley: 😨
"WHAT?!"
Elda:
"Stop imagining things."
Ashley: 😶
"HOW DO YOU KNOW I'M IMAGINING THINGS?!"
Elda:
"Your face is doing all the talking."
Before Ashley could defend herself, Adam slowly opened his eyes.
Adam: 😶
"…"
He blinked once.
Then twice.
Finally, he looked in front of him.
Two women were standing beside his bed.
Both were staring at him.
Both had terrifying auras.
And neither looked particularly interested in explaining anything.
Adam: 😑
"…Who are you?"
Ashley immediately pointed at him.
Ashley: 😤
"You tell him!"
Adam stared at her.
Adam: 😐
"…What?"
Elda: 😑
"Noel brought you here."
Adam's expression softened slightly when he heard Noel's name.
Adam:
"Oh…"
He looked around the room.
Then he noticed that Noel wasn't there.
Adam: 😐
"By the way, where's Noel?"
Elda opened her mouth to answer.
Elda:
"She is—"
From somewhere outside the room—
Noel: 😱
"AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!"
Silence.
Ashley slowly turned toward the door.
Elda closed her eyes.
Adam stared at the ceiling for a moment.
Then he nodded to himself.
Adam: 😶
"…I guess I found my answer."
Ashley: 😑
"Unfortunately, yes."
Elda: 😐
"Welcome to the palace."
Another scream echoed through the corridor.
Noel: 😭
"YOUR MAJESTY, I'M GOING TO REMEMBER THIS!"
Adam pulled the blanket over himself.
Adam's Thoughts: 😶
(Maybe I should have stayed in my broken house.)
