Kaya and Veer gathered supplies for their misdirection mission—just enough to make a convincing camp, but not so much that losing it would cripple their resources. Some dried meat that was starting to spoil anyway, a torn piece of fabric, a few tools that could be replaced.
Serra and Cutie scouted the immediate area around the cave, looking for materials and identifying the best approach for concealment.
"The entrance is our biggest problem," Serra said, studying it critically. "It's a dark hole in gray rock—obvious to anyone looking directly at it."
"What if we didn't try to hide it completely?" Cutie suggested. "What if we made it look... different? Not like a cave entrance, but like something else?"
"Like what?" Serra asked, intrigued.
