The fresh smell of the food wafted into her nostrils when Lillian stepped out of her room. There was rice, omelette, and a few other dishes.
When she made her way over to the dining area, she found Adam in the apron, carrying dishes one by one with his intact hand. Sophie also helped him bring over the dishes.
"Good morning, Lillian," Adam greeted, wearing a shy smile on his face.
She pulled the chair of the dining table back and sat down.
"It seems you familiarized yourself with the house," commented Lillian. As expected of Adam, he truly knew how to act to please others.
Adam rubbed the back of his head awkwardly.
"Since Aunt Lu let me stay here, I thought it was only right for me to contribute. There's not much I can do. So, I thought I would help with the cooking. Is that alright?" Adam seemed to be seeking her opinion.
Lillian shrugged her shoulders.
"Isn't your hand injured?" Lillian pointed out.
