"That's right."
Sersi nodded solemnly, agreeing with Thor's idea. "Although there are only ten Eternals on Earth, we are indeed a powerful army."
"Only ten?"
Thor asked, somewhat surprised. In common parlance, ten people don't qualify as an army.
This situation was also somewhat different from what the others present had imagined.
As Sersi had explained earlier, the mutants were a terrifying race that plunged the universe into chaos. To achieve that level of chaos, a very, very large number of mutants would be needed.
Although mutants are incredibly powerful, a few dozen or even a few hundred wouldn't be enough to cause such chaos in the universe.
Otherwise, the universe would be too weak. For
example, Ronan and Thanos—which force couldn't wipe out a group of mutants?
And the Eternals?
Although everyone didn't know much about them, one thing was basically certain: each Eternal had different abilities, each possessing their own unique power.
For example, Sersi alters the molecular structure of matter; Spike creates illusions; Icarus possesses "Cyclops," and so on.
It's worth noting that some of these abilities are merely auxiliary!
In this situation, how could a mere ten Eternals wipe out the mutant race that caused the chaos in the universe?
Because, judging from the visuals, while Icarus is powerful, he isn't powerful enough to sweep away the mutants.
Could it be that the mutants are actually quite numerous, but they don't usually appear in groups, instead acting alone or in small groups, thus giving the Eternals an opportunity?
Everyone realizes that after answering the questions about the mutants, we really need to have a good talk with Sersi.
[Question: The Spider-Men are fighting a "villain" from the multiverse atop the Statue of Liberty. During this battle, MJ is caught in the crossfire and falls. Which Spider-Man caught her?] [
A. Spider-Man (This Universe)]
[B. Spider-Man (Lizard Universe)]
[C. Spider-Man (Green Goblin Universe)]
[D. Miles Morales, the Black Spider-Man]
[Friendly Reminder: Those who answer correctly will receive the reward skill Six Meridian Divine Sword;
those who answer incorrectly will have one attribute randomly deducted, including but not limited to knowledge, experience, skills, possessions, etc.]
As everyone was discussing, the system notification sounded, and a new question appeared.
This question was quite interesting, immediately piquing everyone's interest.
"Spider-Man...?" Sersi was initially confused, glancing at Peter Parker with a look of astonishment.
From the previous introduction, Sersi already knew that this boy named Peter Parker was Spider-Man, but judging from the question, there was more than one Spider-Man in the world?
Wait, the multiverse?
Isn't this a concept from science fiction? Could it actually be real?
Even Sersi, who was of Eternal descent, was surprised.
Loki, participating in the quiz for the second time, was equally surprised; the news of the multiverse had also given him a significant shock.
"Multiverse? Are you serious?"
Loki looked around at everyone with a look of disbelief, only to find that everyone except the Eternals remained calm.
"This world is really starting to go crazy!" Loki muttered to himself.
First there was the Time Bureau that could control other people's lives, and now there's the multiverse. Even Loki, a god from Asgard, was finding it hard to accept.
"Spider-Men, wow, I have to say, this feels weird."
Peter Parker looked at the big screen, slightly excited. This topic was too exciting. "It's like watching a Spider-Man extravaganza."
"Spider-Men fighting monsters from the multiverse, this is a complete mess, what exactly happened in the future!" Captain America's face couldn't help but show deep worry.
"Take a look at the Spider-Men in the options. The Spider-Man from this universe is undoubtedly the one next to me. The other two, from the Green Goblin universe and the Lizard universe, are most likely the two Spider-Men who appeared in our previous quiz sessions."
"One was hanging upside down from the ceiling in Ned's house, and the other wasn't wearing a Spider-Man suit. You should remember them."
"But who's the last Spider-Man? Miles?"
Tony Stark's voice rang out. He quickly examined the candidates and realized the last Spider-Man had never appeared before.
"This Spider-Man isn't Peter Parker?" Peter Parker was quite surprised.
Everyone else was too.
They had always subconsciously assumed that all Spider-Men in the multiverse were Peter Parker, but this last option shattered that assumption.
Spider-Man might not be Peter Parker.
If Spider-Man is like this, then what about the others?
Are there Iron Mans who aren't named Tony Stark, Captain Americas who aren't named Steve Rogers, or Thors who aren't named Thor?
Wouldn't that make everything a mess!
The thought of this gave everyone a headache.
"Alright everyone, let's analyze this problem," Captain America said, bringing the discussion back to the main point. He glanced at everyone and reminded them.
The group temporarily stopped their random thoughts and focused on the problem, trying to think and analyze it.
But they quickly ran into a problem.
The information about the problem was so scarce that they had no idea where to begin.
"We know very little about the other Spider-Men, and absolutely nothing about the battle at the Statue of Liberty, so..."
Thor shrugged, looking completely bewildered. "I think this problem is very difficult. I have absolutely no idea how to analyze it."
"Come on, Thor, no one has ever had any expectations of you," Loki taunted him mercilessly.
"So, Loki, what's your brilliant idea?" Thor retorted directly.
"This is only my second time participating in the quiz. I don't know anything, how am I supposed to analyze it?" Loki said matter-of-factly, glancing at the others. "So this question is up to you guys to analyze."
Sersi also gave a helpless look, silently observing from the sidelines.
She had absolutely no say in this question.
Tony Stark, Captain America, and Peter Parker began to discuss.
"Could the answer be me?"
Peter Parker spoke first, addressing everyone, "We already know that in the future, MJ will be my girlfriend, right? So, isn't it only natural for me to save her?"
"That's right, Peter, it is indeed only natural,"
Tony Stark nodded. "But it should be natural for the other Spider-Men too, right? Would the other Spider-Men just stand by and do nothing because MJ isn't their girlfriend?"
This left Peter Parker speechless.
Yes.
Spider-Men are everyone's good neighbors; they'd do their best to help even complete strangers in trouble. Whether MJ was his girlfriend or not was irrelevant.
"Stark, you once said that the quiz system wouldn't encounter unanalyzable questions, but I think we've encountered one now,"
Captain America said to Tony Stark after a moment's thought.
He had racked his brains, filtering through all the information about Spider-Man, but hadn't found anything relevant.
Not only him, but Tony Stark was in the same boat.
"It seems we might really have to guess this time," Tony Stark said with a hint of helplessness.
"However, regarding the last option, Miles, I think we can eliminate it for now,"
Captain America spoke up again. "We know absolutely nothing about this option; it has never appeared in previous intelligence!"
An unfamiliar option appearing for the first time wouldn't warrant much consideration unless the other options had been eliminated.
But for this question, the other options were clearly impossible to rule out.
"That's what I thought too!"
Peter Parker slapped his thigh. "Let's connect the clues from the previous quizzes. Someday, for some reason, the barrier between the multiverses opened, and monsters from other universes came to our universe."
"To save those monsters, I took them home without permission, which resulted in May's death, and then… I think I ran to that tall building and hid there crying, right?"
"Then Ned, while looking for me, accidentally brought two other Peter Parkers with him, and they joined me with two other Spider-Men."
"And we certainly wouldn't let those monsters roam free, so we'll probably go and capture them. That should be the battle at the Statue of Liberty mentioned in the question, right?"
"I think only the three of us Spider-Men participated in this battle."
The storyline isn't complicated; it's easy to understand.
Ned found the other two Spider-Men to find his best friend Peter Parker, and after finding the other two versions of Spider-Men, he found his friend.
So, Ned definitely won't continue using magic to find Peter Parker.
Other Spider-Men naturally wouldn't appear.
Of course, this is only the information everyone currently has, nothing more.
As for whether anything beyond this information has happened, leading to the appearance of more Spider-Men, no one knows.
But answering the question naturally requires referring to the known information.
After a brief discussion, the last option was basically eliminated without much controversy.
As for the remaining three options, everyone could only guess.
"Peter, this is your question, so you can go first," Tony Stark said to Peter Parker.
"I choose... uh... A, the Spider-Man of this universe!" After some thought, Peter Parker decided to choose himself.
Even with Spider-Man's personality, he would still come to the rescue if it wasn't his girlfriend, but if you were to ask who would pay the most attention to MJ on the battlefield, it would undoubtedly be himself, right?
[Incorrect answer!]
However, the system then issued this notification.
The answer is not the Peter Parker of this universe.
[The respondent, Peter Parker, will be punished by having his math course knowledge erased for the past month, to be executed immediately!] "
Oh, no!"
Peter Parker cried out in despair.
System, do you know how hard math is?
You've wiped out a month's worth of math lessons in one go! How cruel!
Peter Parker's choice of A was mostly a guess; he didn't have high hopes, and he wouldn't have cared much if he got it wrong.
But this punishment is too cruel.
As of now, only Captain America remains in this round of questions, so without a doubt, the next spot belongs to him.
Captain America didn't hesitate and immediately gave his answer to the screen: "I choose B, Spider-Man from the Lizard Universe!"
This time, Captain America's answer was a pure guess, without any analysis.
Since Peter Parker chose A, Captain America could simply move on to the next option.
[Correct Answer!]
Unexpectedly, Captain America's luck was quite good; he guessed correctly immediately.
[Congratulations to Steve Rogers for obtaining the reward skill Six Meridian Divine Sword!]
[Reward has been issued, please check!]
Whoosh!
The Six Meridian Divine Sword skill, along with its associated information, was thus instilled into Captain America.
This surprised Captain America, who had initially thought it was a single sword, or perhaps a sword technique, but it turned out to be completely different.
"Captain, where's your sword? I can't see it!" Peter Parker couldn't help but ask, scrutinizing Captain America as he spoke.
"Peter, the Six Meridian Divine Sword isn't a single sword, it's a skill!" Captain America explained with a smile.
"Oh, a skill? The title said so, I didn't pay attention. So, it's a sword technique?" Peter Parker asked again, his interest piqued.
"A sword technique? Will Rogers switch from a shield to a sword?" Thor asked with a laugh.
Actually, the combination seemed quite good—one offensive weapon and one defensive weapon, providing both.
However, it wasn't quite right for Captain America, because for him, the shield was not only a defensive weapon but also an offensive one.
"This isn't swordsmanship, but... how should I put it, it's a skill that allows you to fire energy shockwaves outward from your fingertips," Captain America explained after carefully considering his words.
