Lucen had expected this to happen when he heard Tavian's offer. The knights clad themselves in their aura mantles. They were mostly fifth aura mantle users.
Lucen's battle-crazed trait was activating. He could not help but grin; even with his current level, being surrounded by these fifth aura mantle knights would be a problem.
"So if the carrot doesn't work, you'll use the stick instead."
Tavian also got into a fighting stance as he spoke. "You could come with us as a guest, or as a prisoner; you get to decide."
Lucen placed the two revolvers against his chest as he whispered to himself. "I will stand firm on my beliefs. I will survive, bend fate, and grasp victory in my hands."
The ring on his finger started to glow as power surged within him. Tavian was now enveloped by his aura mantle, and his mana was circulating through his veins.
"Then, I will give you one last chance as well. Go now, and you get to live, or stay and you die."
