Chapter 453 - Breaking the Mirror

At this moment, the entire space was filled with incarnations of the Ancient One. Hundreds and thousands were no longer just exaggerated numbers. All the avatars—and possibly the main body—surrounded Blaine in unison.

Moreover, every Ancient One was performing the same action. They brought their hands together, then pulled them apart to both sides, and a magical chain appeared out of thin air between their palms.

In the next second, all the Ancient Ones held the chains with one hand and slammed them toward Blaine's attacking arm. In an instant, Blaine's arm was entangled. Countless Ancient Ones exerted their strength at the same time, unexpectedly binding his arm. Coupled with the erosion of magical energy, Blaine's arm was unable to move for a while.

But this was not the end. The Ancient Ones behind Blaine had, at some point, all pulled out long magical whips and lashed them straight at him.

"..."

"Vulnerable!"

Blaine was not the kind of person who suffered losses, let alone during sparring—never, at any time. Even if the Ancient One wanted to use absolute numbers to suppress him, then let her see how he, the Bounty Hunter, broke through all methods.

Under his hood, Blaine frowned and gritted his teeth fiercely. He exerted all his strength and poured it into his bound arm. In the next moment, the countless chains flashing with magical arcs were suddenly pulled tight, then snapped apart. Along with them, dozens—perhaps hundreds—of the Ancient Ones on the opposite side burst like bubbles.

Bang, bang, bang...

Just as Blaine retracted his arm, the attack from behind had already arrived. However, Blaine did not panic at all. With a teleportation, taking advantage of their unpreparedness, he suddenly appeared behind those incarnations of the Ancient One. Then he let out a fierce roar. Enormous airwaves, mixed with bursts of dragon cries, spread rapidly in all directions from Blaine as the center, forming energy ripples visible to the naked eye.

In fact, the move Blaine shouted was the advanced version—the 2.0 subsidiary skill of the Dragon Trident: Dragon Cry.

As for why Blaine could trigger this skill without using the trident, it was because, during these days, he had been exploring ways to solve the problem of his magical skills.

As mentioned before, Blaine had already understood that the solution was to replace magic with magical tools, inject other universe-level magical energy from himself into those tools, and use that to solve the problem.

Now that there was a direction, Blaine naturally wanted to try. However, although the idea was good, it was difficult to find objects that could withstand such powerful magical energy, and controlling other universe-level magical energy was also difficult.

That was why Blaine thought of the subsidiary skills of the Dragon Trident. Among the many magical skills Blaine had mastered, these few subsidiary skills were still relatively reasonable. They were not particularly strong, but they were definitely not weak either. They were very suitable to be used as experimental subjects.

Finally, the object carrying the magical energy was also Blaine's boldest step. Because Blaine had thought of the scene where the prehistoric Bounty Hunter used sound waves to attack, he became ruthless and used his own body as the container.

Fortunately, the final result was still very ideal. Although it was not perfect, it could still be considered a success.

The subsidiary skills of the Dragon Trident did not depend on the trident. In other words, they were not subsidiary skills of the trident, but subsidiary skills that belonged to Blaine.

Of course, there were still many flaws in the details, so it could not be considered a qualified product. Moreover, these subsidiary skills were still triggered by Blaine himself. In other words, it was like changing clothes without changing the person wearing them—the damage was still the same damage, and even the triggering chance might be lower by a few tenths of a percent. In general, although it was defective, the first step had already been taken.

This roar directly threw the entire Mirror Dimension into chaos. The rampant sound wave was like a tornado crossing the border, destroying everything in its path. Even the whole space showed signs of shaking.

Not to mention the many incarnations of the Ancient One still standing in front of Blaine. They were within the attack range, right at the center of the tornado. With this roar, more than two hundred of those avatars disappeared in an instant.

After a successful strike, Blaine changed his gestures again. In an instant, Blaine locked his gaze on the remaining avatars and violently pushed both arms forward.

The moment Blaine's arms were pushed out, the space in front of him burst open layer by layer, just like the place struck by Dormammu's rays, shattering like a mirror.

It was just that before, it might have been a mirror as tall as two people. This time, it was a wall—no, it was basically a mirror far larger than Blaine's current height.

This mountain-high wall of shattered space separated Blaine from the Ancient One on the other side, along with the Ancient One's incarnations, as if they were in two different worlds.

And as Blaine's arms pushed forward, the entire space rushed ahead like a blade filled with sharp cracks.

In a limited space, under such a large-scale attack, those incarnations of the Ancient One had nowhere to hide. Every incarnation that touched the wall of shattered space was directly crushed and re-formed the moment it made contact, turning into dots of light that filled the sky before dissipating within the Mirror Dimension.

In the end, the Mirror Dimension once again became a world occupied only by Blaine and the Ancient One.

However, Blaine's attack had not stopped yet. Facing the last figure—the real Ancient One—he still rushed forward wildly.

At that moment, the Ancient One seemed to have had enough fun. She shifted her hands and faced the shattered space wall that was cutting toward her like a blade. With a fierce swing, the crazed, charging space wall, like a bison seeing red underpants, once again turned into green, paper-like energy that scattered through the air and dissipated between heaven and earth.

Blaine had not expected this. He had felt that this move would definitely threaten the Ancient One, yet it was once again easily resolved by her. Moreover, from her appearance, the Ancient One still looked completely calm and steady, without even a heartbeat or breath out of place. She was full of confidence, as if everything remained under her control.

In fact, what Blaine did not know was that the Ancient One was also extremely shocked at this moment.

The Ancient One had not expected that in such a short period of time, the Bounty Hunter before her would possess such powerful magical energy, along with so many dazzling kinds of magic. Had he really learned all of this from her library?

But why had she never seen some of them before? And why did some of them clearly look similar at first glance, yet upon closer inspection, seem like entirely different gods?

At that moment, if the Ancient One had to compare him with Stephen Strange's intelligence, or his ability to learn magic...
