Chapter 450 - Mirror Dimension

The look Blaine had received just now seemed to say, Follow me.

Blaine hesitated for a moment, then followed her to the "broken mirror." He carefully stretched out a hand and touched the "mirror." Feeling that his danger perception did not react, Blaine simply stretched his entire arm into it.

Blaine had thought it was some kind of high-level magic, but it turned out to be something similar to an enchantment, just like the barrier Blaine had touched when he surpassed the speed of light before. Passing through this barrier, he arrived in another place.

After figuring out this principle, Blaine, like the Ancient One, turned around and stepped straight inside.

However, the scene inside seemed to be nothing special. It could even be said to be far below Blaine's expectations.

What was going on? It turned out that the layout behind this broken "mirror" was exactly the same as the layout behind where the Ancient One had been standing just now. It was still the original living room, with the same decorations as before. Even the servant who had been wiping the tea table at the side remained where she was, still cleaning the table just as before.

If Blaine had not known that the Ancient One would not make such a joke with him, he would have thought that the broken space just now was simply an ordinary trick to fool people. There was always a sense of covering one's eyes and deceiving one's ears.

"You are now in the Mirror Dimension."

Directly opposite him, the Ancient One explained with her hands behind her back, looking at Blaine with a smile on her face.

"Mirror Dimension?"

"Interesting."

Blaine, of course, knew about the Mirror Dimension. Not only was it recorded in the library, but Blaine had at least heard of it before transmigrating. However, Blaine had never seen the real thing, and the book only contained a one-sided record.

"It exists eternally, yet remains undetected."

"What happens here does not affect the real world."

"Most importantly,"

"do not get trapped here without a Sling Ring,"

"otherwise…"

Blaine continued following the Ancient One's words. However, this was all Blaine knew. This could not be blamed on him, because that was exactly what the magic books said.

After Blaine finished speaking, he walked up to the maid beside him, stretched out his hand, and waved it in front of her eyes. The maid did not seem to sense Blaine's presence at all. She continued wiping the table in her own way.

It seemed that this Mirror Dimension was truly a special space independent from Earth. It was like a four-dimensional or five-dimensional space. From within it, the outside world could not sense the existence of those inside.

And the people inside could completely see all the actions of the people outside.

"Yes, that's right."

"Not only that, but we also train in the Mirror Dimension, as well as observe from it."

"Of course, it is also used to contain threats."

The Ancient One added.

Using the Mirror Dimension for practice as a training ground was fine, but for observation? That did not seem right. In any case, the Ancient One was still the Sorcerer Supreme. Spying on others seemed a little unreasonable. Perhaps she wanted to secretly watch some muscular man take a shower…

"Threats?"

"What kind of threats?"

"For example?"

Sure enough, he was indeed a bounty hunter. His focus was different from others.

"To understand the infinite multiverse,"

"To know the endless danger as well,"

"bring it on."

After speaking, the Ancient One flicked both hands, and two golden circular shields appeared impressively in her palms. At the same time, the Mirror Dimension where Blaine and the Ancient One stood also began to change.

The living room scene from just now gradually blurred. The ceiling and floor twisted, as if they were about to reshape themselves. In reality, that was exactly what happened. After a while, the entire space they were in seemed to transform out of thin air, becoming a martial arts hall, like a ring without fences.

The Ancient One had also directly avoided the question Blaine had raised. Naturally, she was unwilling to tell Blaine what those threats were. However, even if the Ancient One did not say anything, Blaine knew there should be no one except his old enemy, Dormammu.

Since the Ancient One avoided this topic, Blaine did not ask further. In any case, today's purpose was not that.

As soon as the Ancient One finished speaking, Blaine first quietly opened his Copy Eyes in order to deal with the profound magic the Ancient One could use at any time—magic Blaine did not yet know.

Then Blaine clasped his hands together, seeming to mutter something under his breath. The next moment, Blaine's body sank instantly, and his hand slammed hard onto the ground.

With Blaine's palm, the entire ground moved. But it was not caused by brute force. Instead, the ground was constantly changing.

At this moment, a five-pointed star faintly appeared on the originally stone-gray "ring." Moreover, as soon as the five-pointed magic circle appeared, it immediately rotated one hundred and eighty degrees to one side.

Immediately afterward, another star-shaped magic array appeared.

The Ancient One's body, standing on it, immediately became unstable. She swayed from side to side, as if she might fall at any time. But when the magic circle fully took shape, the Ancient One stabilized herself and faced Blaine again.

"Hmph!"

Blaine sneered and shook his hands, but what appeared was not a magic circle. Instead, two weapons resembling glass prisms appeared.

They were transparent, about half a meter long, and sunlight reflected colorful rays from them. They were extremely sharp.

This was a weapon summoned through dark matter energy. As for the magic circle on the ground just now, it was also an environment Blaine had created for himself. The function of that magic circle was to condense dark matter energy in order to provide Blaine with more powerful energy.

Fortunately, the person opposite him was the Sorcerer Supreme, the Ancient One. If it had been someone slightly inferior, they might have fallen to the ground the moment the terrain changed and the magic circle was summoned, never to get up again. Because the condensed dark matter energy could have directly crushed them to death.

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh…

Clang, clang…

Boom, boom, boom, boom…

In an instant, the transparent blades made of dark matter energy collided with the golden circular shields.

In just such a short span of time, the two fought for two hundred rounds. With one final push, they touched and separated. Blaine then withdrew four or five meters, while the Ancient One also retreated four or five meters. They seemed evenly matched.

However, looking at the Ancient One's unchanged face and Blaine's expressionless one, it seemed that in the fight just now, neither side had used their full strength. Both still held something back.

Suddenly, Blaine seemed to think of something.

He had always felt that something was wrong, and he only realized it after they began fighting. He obviously wanted to copy magic through his Copy Eyes, so why was he engaging in hand-to-hand combat now?
