Chapter 419: Uncle Yondu Escapes Again, The Final Battle Begins

Before Planet OA was destroyed, the Guardians transmitted their core secrets to the leader of the Green Lantern Corps.

When Abin Sur saw the target who had been imprisoned for over tens of billions of years, he was so furious he nearly swore aloud.

To imprison such a dangerous being right at the Green Lantern Corps' main training base—wasn't that the same as planting a ticking time bomb under their feet?

Now that the Calamity Ring had escaped, it would no doubt vent its rage on the Green Lantern Corps.

"Suppress the Calamity Ring."

Abin Sur ordered the Corps to engage.

At the same time, he relayed the information to their allies.

Upon reading the message, the other Lantern leaders' faces all changed drastically, and they immediately mobilized all Lanterns to stop the enemy.

The Calamity Ring user—cloaked in an aura of white light—didn't try to dodge the power of the Emotional Spectrum. Instead, he rushed straight into the swirling, multicolored radiance.

"He really can absorb the Spectrum's power."

"More precisely, the Calamity Ring can devour the energy of other Lantern rings and use all the powers of the Spectrum."

"Then he's the nemesis of all Lantern rings."

"…"

Panic began to spread among the Lanterns.

They could still hold their ground when facing the Black Lantern zombies.

But against the Calamity Ring, every attack seemed to only empower the enemy.

Allen tilted his head, showing no intention to act immediately.

Obviously, acting too early would ruin his dramatic entrance.

Only by saving the day at the last moment could he show his worth.

"Counting the Calamity Ring, I should have nine rings now."

Looking at his hands, Allen sighed slightly. "Problem is, I've got ten fingers."

The seven Lantern leaders coordinated to surround the Calamity Ring and developed a battle plan:

Rather than using energy constructs based on emotion, they would materialize actual weapons and engage in close combat.

Thunk…

"We did it!"

Sinestro exclaimed in surprise as his golden spear pierced the Calamity Lantern's body.

But it wasn't that simple. The enemy turned out to be a mere illusion, vanishing on the spot.

The real Calamity Lantern stood calmly in his original position, watching them.

"Your rings originate from my Calamity Ring. How could they possibly harm me?"

He revealed a chilling truth.

At the same time, the Lantern leaders recalled the Calamity Ring's terrifying powers to distort reality and rewrite timelines.

This was no longer power a mortal could wield. Even among gods, only those at a multiversal, multidimensional creator level could touch such forces.

Of course, as overwhelming as it seemed, there were still limits.

Its influence was confined to a certain area—it wasn't on the scale of a creation deity that could manipulate entire universes.

"I'm going to take back your power."

The Calamity Lantern spread his arms wide, his energy body radiating pure white light.

The Lanterns, sensing something amiss, tried to retreat—only to find their rings leaking energy uncontrollably.

Streams of rainbow-colored light flowed together, forming a radiant river that surged directly into the glowing core on the Calamity Lantern's chest.

On a lifeless planet, four terrifying beings silently observed his performance.

"He's definitely worthy of becoming an ally," said Supreme Superboy with satisfaction.

The other three couldn't help but roll their eyes internally.

Frankly, any of them could say that—but not him. He hadn't even reached single-universe tier strength. Letting him join the alliance was already a generous favor.

Darkseid could probably pin him down and grind him into the dirt without breaking a sweat.

"Lights out."

A deep, magnetic voice suddenly rang out.

Allen enjoyed imitating outlaws' lines whenever he activated his blackout protocol.

Darkness burst outward from him in a flash, covering the void.

Immediately, the Spectrum Corps and the Calamity Lantern felt a sense of disorientation.

"What kind of power can nullify our rings?"

"Since when were the Lantern rings this weak?"

"It's that stranger's doing."

"…"

The Lanterns were slightly relieved. At least it wasn't a sneak attack from an enemy.

But it was still shocking. The emotional light that once made them all-powerful across the universe was now being outclassed repeatedly—three times in one day.

First the Black Lantern rings, which boasted both immortality and energy constructs.

Then the Calamity Ring—facing it felt like being a child meeting their parent.

Now, this mysterious dark field had completely disabled their ring functions.

Except the Black Lanterns.

Because the Black Lanterns ran on black blood material, the Calamity Ring couldn't suppress them.

They could've used the Calamity Ring to manifest bizarre monsters to drain the Black Lanterns' energy—but Allen found that too troublesome.

"Who are you? Show yourself!"

The Calamity Lantern roared toward the pitch-black void.

He couldn't sense any targets—only the voices of nearby Lanterns talking.

Since the Calamity Ring also used Spectrum energy, it naturally came under suppression from the Calamity Ring's counterforce.

Even with time manipulation and reality-warping powers, he couldn't escape the domain of darkness—he was a trapped beast at best.

"I'm the Calamity Lantern."

Bathed in a green glow, Allen appeared in front of the Spectrum Corps in full gear, acting like he owned the place.

"Why does he have the Green Lantern symbol on his chest?"

"He's not a Green Lantern. Green Lantern light shines brightly, but his is clearly darker."

"Could the Green Lantern ring be hiding some unknown function?"

"…"

What function? There was nothing hidden.

The Green Lanterns knew their rings inside and out.

There were plenty of limitations, that was for sure.

"It's still Spectrum energy."

The Calamity Lantern sensed the glow from Allen's Calamity Ring and quickly deduced the mechanics.

He reached into the darkness and grabbed a monster, then began draining the Calamity Ring's energy.

"What the hell—he's trying to drain me instead?"

Allen instantly recalled the creature and suddenly realized the Calamity Ring could mimic any Lantern's powers.

If he managed to crack the Calamity Ring's mechanics, even the blackout protocol could be stolen.

The Calamity Lantern's expression darkened slightly. He had nearly succeeded. Still, he smiled and said, "As long as you make a move, I can read the ring's data. Why don't we work together?"

If brute force didn't work, maybe persuasion would.

"Working together? That'll never happen."

Allen raised his right hand and displayed the X-Ring. "I don't have to use the Calamity Ring to kill you."

…Another new ring.

How many bizarre rings did this guy have?

Could there really be countless unknown types beyond the traditional Spectrum rings?

They refused to believe Allen had the ability to modify rings—it was just too ridiculous.

"Sword technique—One Slash Breaks All Techniques."

Allen formed a sword gesture and pointed at the Calamity Lantern.

A vast, silver-white sword beam lit up the darkness, momentarily eclipsing all light in the universe.

Seeing it, the Calamity Lantern smiled coldly.

'How foolish. Even knowing I can absorb Spectrum energy, you still try an attack that won't work.'

'Even White Lantern energy can be absorbed by me.'

Thump!

The silver sword aura pierced straight through the light circle on his chest.

The Calamity Lantern still wore a confident smile—but his eyes were full of fear.

"This isn't emotional energy. That ring… it's not a Lantern ring."

He clutched his chest, trying to suppress the surging energy.

"Who said Lantern rings must use emotional Spectrum energy?"

Allen replied as he struck again.

The silver sword light flashed once more, giving the Calamity Lantern no time to breathe.

He narrowly dodged it—clearly prepared.

"Was that… teleportation?"

More accurately, it was timeline manipulation—he shifted his own timeline marker back to a previous location.

"We're not enemies. There's no need to fight to the death. Besides, you can't kill me. I can keep dodging your attacks by altering time," he offered.

"We can talk," Allen said, "but give me back the Calamity Ring."

The Calamity Ring—give it back to you?

What a joke. Since when was it yours?

You want even more? Greedy much?

The Calamity Lantern's expression darkened. "Forget it. I was just stalling you. I'm waiting for my allies outside to make a move."

"Oh-ho… then take this—'Ten Thousand Blades Return to One.'"

With Allen's casual command, the next scene left the Calamity Lantern wide-eyed.

Countless sword beams filled the sky, locking in from all directions with zero blind spots.

Totally unfair.

How was he supposed to dodge that?

"Wait—"

BOOM BOOM BOOM…

A rainstorm of sword light thundered down.

The watching Lanterns were stunned and horrified.

Each blade turned into a silver thread, forming a cascading curtain of light.

The sheer density of the attack was like a weaponized flood.

It lasted for a full minute.

Hiss…

He was probably pulp by now.

"Hmph…"

Allen smirked proudly. "Challenging a true sword cultivator like me—gotta say, that was impressively brave."

As the light faded, the attack ended.

There was no trace of the Calamity Lantern—only a single, dazzling, multicolored ring remained.

His soul had been utterly obliterated.

Allen extended a hand, and the Calamity Ring floated into his palm.

One of its many functions: keeping the wearer eternally youthful by resisting the passage of time.

A power that clearly involved time manipulation.

Without hesitation, Allen prepared to put it on his left hand.

Suddenly, he paused. "Can't wear it on the ring finger—Lefty is my ex."

He switched to the left index finger instead.

A knot in his heart finally loosened, and he beamed. "My Lantern ring set is complete!"

"Don't worry, Righty—I won't commit bigamy. Lefty's ring finger is off-limits."

By that logic, the nine rings really did form a set.

Finding a tenth ring unlike any other would depend entirely on fate.

The dark field faded.

The Spectrum Corps returned to space.

"His energy's gone."

On the desolate planet, the Black Death Emperor could no longer sense the Calamity Lantern's life force.

"What a worthless failure."

Supreme Superboy sneered, "Looks like I'll have to step in."

Arrogant and self-absorbed—the other three had already mentally labeled him.

They could tell clearly that the Calamity Lantern was far stronger than Supreme Superboy. He had just been incredibly unlucky, regaining freedom only to run into such a deadly foe.

BOOM!

Supreme Superboy launched toward the battlefield.

"Should I help?" Darkseid asked.

"No need. Let that annoying guy go die," Nahr replied dismissively.

"Anyone who'd betray their own allies—it's no loss if he dies," the Black Death Emperor said coldly.

Supreme Superboy had once cooperated with the Anti-Monitor. His yellow solar armor, capable of simulating constant yellow sun exposure, was also the Anti-Monitor's creation. Yet he'd still betrayed his comrades without hesitation.

These ancient beings despised such types. From the start, they had treated him as cannon fodder.

"All of you… die!"

Supreme Superboy glared down at his enemies, not taking the Spectrum Corps seriously at all.

"Get him—crush him!"

The seven Spectrum Lantern leaders, still fuming, saw this as the perfect outlet.

They'd been powerless against the Black Lanterns and the Calamity Ring. But him?

No way they'd lose to this guy.

In a flash, the sky lit up with Lanterns unleashing waves of emotional energy, all targeting Supreme Superboy in a unified barrage.

The once-overconfident Superman instantly realized he'd kicked an iron wall.

Facing the entire Corps alone—he was getting pummeled.

"No challenge at all."

Allen cast a contemptuous glance at the battlefield between the Spectrum Corps and the Supreme Superboy. He saw no need to intervene, and instead turned his gaze toward a certain direction in space.

Tens of thousands of Black Lantern zombies were rushing in for reinforcement.

These zombies, transformed from the winged Sennagon race and parasitized by symbiotic spores, were overwhelmingly more powerful than ordinary Black Lantern zombies.

"Looks like it's time for another battle hymn."

Allen lifted his left foot, took off his Supreme flip-flop, then removed the other one.

"Oh-li-yo… you walked with me on the journey for the scriptures…"

Clang!

A pair of Tenth Metal flip-flops slapped together in Allen's hands.

In an instant, a soul-shaking sound reverberated through the void.

The incoming Black Lantern zombies, who had been flying straight ahead, suddenly paused mid-flight. In their deathly lychee-like eyes, a glimmer of awareness emerged.

"Oh oh-li-yo…"

Clang! Clang! Clang!

Each rhythmic clash of the Tenth Metal echoed like a drumbeat, stirring the minds of the Sennagon.

"What's happening to me?"

"Damn it, why is there a symbiote inside my body?"

"Stop controlling me! Get out!"

"..."

The Sennagon struggled to regain control of their bodies, while the symbiotic spores resisted furiously. As a result, the Black Lantern zombies that had returned began violently self-harming in the vacuum of space.

This sight instantly shocked the three observers on the Dead Star, their expressions turning grim.

"How could he have Tenth Metal?!"

"Don't tell me he's been to the World Forge—that's impossible! The World Forge doesn't exist in the same universe as the human realm!"

"No more spectating—we end him now!"

Three figures soared skyward.

Darkseid launched a sneak attack with his Omega Beams.

But Allen smacked his Supreme flip-flop together, redirecting the Omega Beams mid-flight.

"I've been waiting for you."

Allen stared directly at the three powerful foes as numerous portals opened around him.

One after another, terrifyingly powerful undead warriors emerged from Apokolips.

After evolving into a 21st-tier Ancestral Chaos Dragon, Allen had used the leftover resources to cultivate several 18th-tier undead all at once.

"That many!?"

Darkseid was stunned to see nine undead of New God level—and worse, beyond the portals, he sensed a presence that truly frightened him.

Without hesitation, he chose to flee again.

Following the trajectory of his Omega Beam, Darkseid escaped through it.

The Black Death Emperor roared in fury, "That damned fool! How dare he flee mid-battle!"

"It doesn't matter—we don't need him. As long as we kill this one, the plan will still succeed."
