She recoiled as if touching him would cause a burning sensation. She rested her hands on her lap, her voice lower, pleading for it to be a lie. Faller shook his head. She lowered her gaze and began to sob, questioning the man's courage to betray her, but Faller quickly defended himself, asking for time to explain, but she didn't give him the opportunity.
His face turned to the side from the punch he received. His fingers touched the side of his face, his eyes fixed on the mattress. And, when he saw her, hidden in the shadows, tears streamed down his face to the floor.
Without hesitation, he lunged forward, wrapping his arms around his wife's waist. She tried to pull away, begging him to leave her alone, but he abruptly admitted his vulnerability. He had been abused by the Destroyer of Lust.
She froze, her arms ceasing to try and push him away, losing strength. She asked why he hadn't told her sooner, but he confessed to feeling ashamed and not wanting to worry her. Saying her husband's name with a trembling voice, she embraced him and apologized for the attack. He admitted his fault, but she reciprocated by saying she had lost control.
She reminded him that not only had he suffered, that he had been weak, but that everyone who had faced the fight against Medusa was incapacitated. Hearing each name, he remembered Aurora and pulled away from Victoria, his fingers gripping the mattress.
She tried to understand his nervousness, touching his face tenderly, however, he told her what had happened to the Pillar of Knowledge. Victoria's eyes widened and she questioned if it was a planned betrayal, but Faller begged her not to, because if it was, there would be nothing to be done with someone insane.
And, adding to that, he asked how Victoria knew about Shaphira. She initially recoiled upon hearing this, but slowly rose from the bed and touched the bars where they were. She sensed her Renkai Energy, its restraint.
She tried to act, molding her body to the water, but nothing worked. She looked around, touching every corner of that cell while Faller followed her movements with his gaze. Victoria, standing up again, said she didn't know the cause, but that something was preventing her Manas from manifesting.
Faller pressed his lips together and tested his strength, but the bars proved resistant. He murmured a curse before they heard the sound of a padlock opening.
He sat on the bed, his partner standing beside him, holding his hand, comforting him. And, appearing before them, a distorted figure, a humanoid Renkai Creature appeared before them. Distorted words were spoken, but Faller understood them as an order to follow it, only it.
He walked towards the demon, observing the old armor, the heavy sword, and the lifeless face, like a human corpse. He looked at Victoria, who nodded at him. And when it opened, Faller reacted quickly, pinning him against the wall and preparing to punch him.
However, the impact caused him to explode, releasing large amounts of Renkai Energy that made him cough and vomit on the floor. Victoria tried to reach him, but a sword appeared in front of her, telling her to stay quiet, as it would kill her if she took another step.
He looked back. A man, a Renkyarian, stared at him with a serious face. His thick tail, covered in small blades, swayed, scratching the ground. He warned him that someone who knew him wanted to see him.
In an instant, he pinned him to the ground, his larger body making bones crack. His arms were tied behind his back and his wrists were bound. In a weak voice, he asked about his intentions with him and his wife, and the Renkyarian was direct. He and his wife would be transformed into Destroyers, when? You'll only know when another girl's transformation is perfectly complete.
And so, he was pulled by the arms and the cage was locked with Victoria inside. She screamed that she would kill the Renkyarian, but he only laughed in disdain.
Throwing him into a dark room, candles slowly lit up, revealing little light. Faller coughed, feeling the Renkai Energy taking effect, making him dizzy and his body churning inside. But even so, he continued to walk.
The sound of metal echoed through the room, each drag resulting in Faller falling, but he would get back to his feet.
He cried out the disciple's name, someone he had cared for in the past, begging her to call for help...
But only a sigh was heard.
And as he walked, hairs began to appear.
Black. White. Blue...
Then a tail whose tip was dark, the root turning white, but hiding blue streaks.
It was long.
Longer than usual.
And then, she appeared. Trapped in chains. Fur blending into the kimono like a second layer of skin. Larger ears. Fangs larger than her other teeth. And skin beginning to be covered in fur. But, when she raised her gaze...
Empty, dark, but with a bluish glow, like a wild animal.
And beneath the bloodstains that covered his body and pieces of flesh that hung from his mouth...
The innocent voice called out the following names:
Jonhye and Natasha.
