Seth's POV
The moment the words Chloe is missing hit me, every thought inside my head shattered. For one second, I genuinely thought I had heard Ashley wrong.
Missing?
No.
That's impossible.
Not after everything I tried to avoid. That's by far the worst possible outcome.
The backstage noise became muffled in my ears as panic crawled violently up my spine. Models rushed past in robes and glittering costumes, makeup artists yelled for brushes and palettes, assistants ran around with clipboards and headsets—but all I could focus on was the sick feeling growing in my chest.
Something was wrong. Terribly wrong. I didn't wait to think. Didn't wait to breathe. "I'll go look for her," I blurted instantly.
Before anyone could stop me, I turned sharply and strode off.
"Seth!"
I halted halfway and looked back.
