The only thing I could think about… was him.
Not the lies he was already aware of.
Not the fear of what comes next.
Not even the truth that had just shattered and rebuilt my world all at once.
Just him.
The way his lips moved against mine.
The way his hands held me like I was something precious that he had searched for… and finally found.
My body betrayed me in the most confusing way.
A moment ago, I ran from him.
I couldn't bear to look at him, to behold his gaze—I couldn't stand the weight of his eyes knowing everything I had hidden. And yet now… here I was, pressed so close to him, feeling like distance was the one thing I couldn't survive.

My lips parted slightly as his brushed mine again, softer this time—slower. As if he was trying not only to take, but to feel.
