Even if it tasted awful to his mouth, Claude agreed to them. He led the wolves back to find a suitable place to fortify. They needed to find a way to reach the hunter's outpost without sacrificing any of them. Len might be in trouble, but what could Claude do if he got captured just the same?

The wolves did their best to start a fire. They settled inside a cave resting high on the cliffside. Some of them even had trouble climbing the entrance. The Gammas could only divide tasks to ensure the survivability of their chosen temporary lair. Some descended to gather wood, while someone else had to try their best to ignite it.
