The Gammas on the couch looked behind them, realizing that they should move to give a seat for the Alpha. However, unlike Len, who prioritized sitting, Claude just stood around as if he were not important.
One of them just cleared his throat before speaking, "Alpha Claude, they are holding a conference for the police. The survivors are supposed to be in the hospital, guarded twenty-four-seven."
Claude glanced down at him. The Alpha didn't smile. "Can we send someone to investigate? I just want to make sure."
"Yes, Alpha. We will make contact with the merfolk who own it." The other Gamma placed a hand on his chest. Tasks like that were not unusual to his ears. Even Len routinely asked for updates when someone he knew was sent to that certain hospital.
"Merfolk…?" Claude's eyes flickered out of sight. He didn't realize that Saint Emilien was not the only place a night creature owned in Lunavida.
